Try getting reception with that. The whole black plate will be shielding the RF and you'll be lucky to get 1 bar.

Just looks like it has no mass to it..meaning he's moving it without much effort. Doesn't seem like there is anything inside..cookie tin, maybe. Or just a gutted mini with new ports on the back..
1 in 6000 chance..right now at least..
Does anyone have a bead on how easy it is to swap out the memory/drives on these new models??
Didn't they use those in the Runaway movie with Gene Simmons and Tom Selleck?
I hope it does better than the 90's clear malt beverage...mmmm ZIMA
Doesn't wind me up further. And you maybe right that I haven't played with one sufficiently enough. I just didn't see the initial draw, benefit, value to the general population. And if they do launch it again I hope they are planning to evolve it some. Can't expect that same technology to be "new" any more.

Maybe I am not the audience and it is more geared towards hackers.
I actually played with one at an electronic store. And the comment was more around there are better ideas than this one out there that should receive funding. Are you that bored that you need to start quarrels in forums? Did you have stock in this and took a bath so now you will flame anyone that has an opinion on this.
Can someone please shed light on how garbage like this gets two go-rounds, or rounds of funding and there are other seemingly much better ideas that go undeveloped?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
