Let me get this straight, when a notebook OEM blatantly mirrors an apple design, everybody cries foul, but when the same notebook OEM blatantly unveils a bunch of notebooks that aren't, everybody still cries foul? /smacks forehead

Does anybody else just find that hilariously ironic?
What's so special about this? My 24" BenQ 241FPW has a 1920x1200 resolution (so real 1080P), HDMI, Component, S-Video, composite, D-Sub, and DVI-D built in.

I use it all the time to run my Xbox 360 at 1080P, and it'll work just fine as a TV when the time comes.
Perhaps the LED back lighting will also help offset the claims being made that apple knowingly used inferior LCD panels for their entire line of MacBook Pros.

Wouldn't that be just wonderful? (I know I'm going to get voted down for this)
How does the GeForce 8600M compare to the Geforce 7950 512 MB in the XPS M1710? I mean, despite one being DX 10 and the other an older DX 9 part with PS 3.0.

I want to see some side-by side benchmarks of these things.
I'm sorry, but, does anybody else seriously think there's something very, very wrong about that photo?
Those definitely aren't the best cameras in the world, unless Sony has suddenly come out with something that rivals Canon's 1D Mark III overnight.

Lenses, my friend... Lenses...
Looks like they made a typo on their website:

"3G speed (EVDO up to 2.4 mbps, 1X network up to 144 Mbps)"

Who knew CDMA 1X was so fast?
8GB is a little small for the "widescreen video iPod" title, don't you think? That pales in comparison to the 80GB they currently offer.
Wii

Repackaged Gamecube? Shortlived at best...
Playing with Deep Blue? You betcha anyone would have fun just being able to SAY that they've played Deep Blue.

In all seriousness, there's no point arguing that the Wii isn't fun. The real argument here is that Nintendo could have made what they have even better by combining HD-leval graphics, AND the fun of the Wiimote/nunchuck/physically driven interfaces. If they had done so, they'd have something even more marketable.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
