Meh.

Paid apps will appear as rapidshare links ready for your drag and drop enjoyment on the Dev Phone 1.
Wuthering Heights.... argh.
Damn that book was horrid, stupid high school reading list.
That said, Heathcliff was one vindictive mofo.
LOL @ Samsung's cheastbeating:
"...we remain prepared to acquire all of the outstanding shares of SanDisk for $26 per share in cash. As you know, our proposal is not subject to any financing contingency and the entire purchase price will be funded with our cash on hand and available financing"

Under M&A regulations, the acquirer must provide evidence of certainty of funding. This is a means of ensuring the acquirer is serious about their offer, and also to provide a guarantee to the target shareholders that their decision to accept the offer will be executed. 99.9% of the time, the acquisition is funded by third party loans. In Samsung's offer, they're basically saying, "... listen fool, we dont need to borrow money, we have enough cash just sitting around to buy you out... quit the games and just fold already..."

I wish I had some loose change sitting around to make a $5.8 billion hostile takeover.
Yeah, thanks Captain Obvious...
How did this guy became such a tech 'celebrity' or authority on tech/gadgets in the first place? He just reverts back to obvious comments and observations and makes no meaningful contribution whatsoever.
"The $99 Peek supports IMAP and POP accounts and most Web accounts, including Yahoo and Gmail. Since it’s made for Joe Consumer, it supports images but not Office docs or other attachments."

Having even a crappy 0.3mp camera on the thing for attachments would have been good.
What kind of email and attachment types does this device support?
HTML formatting?
Images?
Word docs?
Excel sheets?
PDF?

I'll take the fridge thanks!
get gad:
i dunno... perhaps it means on the 7th day when God said he had a rest, what he really meant was that he put life on earth's next door neighbour.

btw, in case you havent noticed, its called trolling.

If they find life forms on Mars, I wonder how the intelligent design pundits would respond.

"... uh... God put microbes there... for... uh... humans to discover. Yes."
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
