I want a SlingBox to plug into my DirecTiVo and watch from other computer around the house. Way cooler than running coaxial cable around and using an RF modulator. Anyone know if the Macintosh SlingBox client will run on an OLD slot loading iMac?

The AVeL LinkPlayer from I-O Data has streamed HD content including XViD for a while now. It even plays Windows Media HD DVDs now.

She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children.
