Looks like my remote that came with my MacBook. If this real it's really lame - FAKE!
Wow! I'd buy that right now if it wasn't so expensive... too bad. This site should do a review of projectors - which is the best for your money for watching movies? And what about upcoming HD movies?
More mirrors (Apparently that's what people want):

Blog with lots of different mirrors (includes short excerpt from intructions):

The only things that need to be worked out are:

>Communication between Windows OS and Mac OS

>Possible NTFS partioning (currently there is a problem with NTFS)

> Drivers

It's opensource. So I guess we'll see a sourceforge repository opened soon. Then, we can all make this solution better, easier, and all that other stuff.
Finally a good idea... 'till HD DVD wins the constest. I'd invest stock in HDDVD if that was possible.

The reason I say HD DVD is going to win is because Bluray is less consumer friendly... easier to ruin data if scratched... no managed copy... more expensive.. the list goes on.

In the future you'll look back at this comment and think I'm a fortune teller or something...
Dominicnz,

How can he be making money with these products when the majority of people who were awaiting the products don't think they quite cut it? You see, the problem is that Apple was known for their cutting edge computers, but most user have been waiting for quite some time for products that have more features, such as DVR and interconnectivity with 3rd party products (like PDA's - there are a million cheap, better looking speaker solutions, even on their site!). They now see Apple as not a leader, but lagging behind others such as Dell and Sony in the computer hardware they produce. I mean, "Apple is a hardware company". How many times do you hear this phrase? The answer: to many times to count.

We all know that Apple wants to integrate Intel chips into their products as a top priority, but now that they've finished converting the OS they should be able to add more hardware, such as DVR, an Ipod Dock, and other easily added hardware to their products very easily. We ask - why don't they do it and show that they deserve the title of innovators? It's so easy, but Apple seems not to grasp that these minute details will make all the difference in a persons' product selection. It may even make them more patient than they would like (they want people to buy more, not wait and buy less).

It's all very simple when you see it from the consumer/market perspective. Apple makes product - product doesn't cut it - consumer goes to competitor. Not everyone needs an Apple computer, and Apple is trying to get Windows users to switch - a very hard task. Pyschologically, people choose to stay with the product that they are familiar with, even if it doesn't look as nice as the competing product...

Enough said... reflect on this and you might begin to understand the deep disappointment that the vast majority of Apple and non-Apple users are experienceing with Apple right now - we aren't so willing to part with our money now that we see not too much has changed... we can keep our products a while longer (the mini is still a relatively new product line).
This sucks... the whole thing was a waste of time and Apple knows it. How can I tell? Because they didn't even post a video of the event on their site. The only difference this Mac mini has to the old Mac mini is the processor... that sure tells us that Apple isn't even thinking about giving us more options. I say we all email Apple and tell them we're not buying an mac mini until they give us more options - like a T.V. TUNER CARD! I'm not even waiting for them to announce that they will be doing that... it's too late for that... I already waited a few years... Hmmm... my options are: Dell, Toshiba, Sony,...

Apple you're losing your touch.

And finally, who needs a huge stereo like that? I don't see myself lugging something like that around - save the money, get a boombox and a fm tuner for your Ipod.

Apple your losing your fans/userbase.

You make me regret my MacBook Pro purchase... I wanted to get a DVR mac mini to my sister for her birthday... too late... it's in 16 days.
I just talked to an Apple representive on the phone - and got my MacBook Pro updated. But, she said shipping will be 2-3 weeks longer... So what, I'm already waiting forever. Maybe if they keep updating the proc. speeds I might end up with a better computer anyway...

I am soo glad they woke up and changed CPU speeds. I guess the consumers spoke... I'm guessing no one bought 1.66GHz CPU MacBooks...

Last night was awesome... I don't want to switch to Mac now - unless I'm dual booting

Non-illegal DVD copying... did I hear that coming from Microsoft... please tell me it's true... "Play the DVD, which you copied to your hard drive before"...

Great... Great... I want Vista NOW! with HDTV... Uhmm does that come in a laptop?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
