Nov 11th 2009 9:56AM Ads? Where I'm going, we don't see ads...

...Because I use host file ad server blocking.

Go to http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm and follow the instructions, or just paste the contents of http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.txt into:

/etc/hosts

using either Terminal.app or BBEdit/TextWrangler (which is free).

Microsoft borrows Apple Store blueprint, manager (video) {Engadget}

Oct 26th 2009 12:04PM @Brent: Interestingly enough, the Apple Store at Pentagon City in Arlington, VA opened in a location immediately adjacent to a Sony Style Store that had been in the mall for 2-3 years.

The Apple Store was bright, airy and usually packed. The Sony Store was much darker, smaller, uninviting and rarely had more than a handful of people in it. Within three months, Sony moved their location within the mall, to the third floor, I think to escape the juxtaposition.

I don't really think Apple followed the Sony model, if anything, it's closer to a GAP store for computers.

(I had to walk through the mall each workday morning and evening, to get to/from the Metro station.)
