"customers are substituting mailed movies for streamed ones" - I think that's backwards as it has the opposite meaning of what the headline is saying.
Take a look at the HDHomerun. It's a networked HDTV tuner that can be accessed from any PC on your network.
Does anyone know how many watts of power each of these devices use when off? How much in stand by? How much when powered on?

Thanks
'I' before 'E' EXCEPT after 'C'!
The Dyson never loses suction.*

* I have a Dyson DC14 Animal and IT DOES LOSE SUCTION when the tube becomes clogged with large amounts of fur or carpet fibers. I've had to open the thing up (which is quite easy to do) and clean out the blockage more than once. After putting everything back together, the Dyson does work great again. I'm very please with the performance of the vacuum but to say it NEVER loses suction is false.
Awesome. Hopefully they will release something similar in the U.S. sometime this year.

Years ago ('96?), there were notebooks that had keyboard that lifted up to allow access to a CD drive beneath.
Do they use 660 times as much power as Sonys when in standby?
Sony = .05 watts
Toshiba = 33 watts
Hey Matt, it should be "more than 30," not "more then 30."
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
