Steorn Orbo: the thermodynamics defying energy product is named {Engadget}

Feb 20th 2007 10:05AM It would be one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs in the history of man. They have interviews with the CEO and the marketing guy on the site. You do the math.

Fujitsu's LifeBook P1610 reviewed {Engadget}

Feb 8th 2007 5:17PM I have the p1510d... the previous iteration... I think the real downside to these minilaptops is that they're constrained by the 4200rpm 1.8" drives. SSD or 5400rpm or something for the love of god...

Steve Jobs likes to repeat himself {Engadget}

Apple is not a monopoly. Learn what one is before you go spouting off like a toolbox.

I think you missed the point. Apple is essentially contractually obligated to not open the platform. They are liable for any breach of the DRM. Ergo, anyone that thinks the FairPlay platform should be opened up needs to take it up with the music industry.

PS Employing the term "fanboy" really serves no purpose other than to inflame the other side. But you just had to get that last little jab in, didn't you? It reveals you.

Jan 18th 2007 10:44PM the whole story has insurance/lawsuit scam gone awry written all over it.

PSP2 "Cobalt" to feature dual analog, UMD, 8GB of flash? Don't count on it. {Engadget}

Jan 18th 2007 4:22PM What's really sad is that the PSP should have been Sony's iPod. They exist at roughly the same price point. If Sony weren't so keen on stuffing proprietary standards down everyone's throats maybe more people would buy their tech. As it is they make what has become marginal gear with incompatible technologies. Not all that alluring in my book.

Fujitsu previews LifeBook P7230 {Engadget}

Dec 23rd 2006 1:23AM I have two Fujitsus... a p7010d and a p1510. Their builds are pretty good and they talk a good game when it comes to support, but the actual execution of the support is fair at best. Really unfortunate considering their design work in the ultra-portable category.

If the P1610 ran OSX I'd be in heaven... it's a long way to a 15" MBP.

Dec 21st 2006 8:42AM Did you read over the specs as you typed them? I think you forgot the sharks with the frickin' lasers... or maybe the kitchen sink... I forget which.

Variations on a theme: the Motorola KRZR Fire {Engadget}

Dec 14th 2006 2:50PM Whoever came up with the idea that a new color scheme is like a new new feature set is both an evil genius and a sick depraved bastard.

"New features? We don't need no stinkin' New Features... We'll just slap a new color on it and profit!"

Mom-of-the-year calls cops on son who opened "PlayStation GameBoy" pre-Xmas {Engadget}

Dec 6th 2006 12:00PM Look at the arms on that kid... Hairy like nobody's business... I'd be calling the cryptozoologists not the cops!
