Its No Fake. I just got this in the mail. It wasn't in the newspaper, it came today in a little mini circuit city catalog. Right about in the middle.
Rumble.. funny funny har har
xbox 360 (though does it do 1080p through component?)
Its all about having it at your fingertips when you want it, somehting the store can't do at all, Netflix does better, and cable on-demand probably does the best.
It beats my comcast's On-Demand prices. I think new HD movies are 7.99. So $6 is a fair amount but I think its market, if not below.
hey Leslie J Hartley... stupid comcast told me it would cost me a monthly fee for a cablecard.. as much as a cable box too... thats just stupid. Where you abel to get one free?

Pete - I see your point, CC 2.0 will be great, but I still like the idea of CableCard now, if only I could just buy a tv for under $1800 that supports it. I think it would be great for my second tv (bedroom) in a small LCD (26"-32") then all I would have is the tv, and not the clutter of the box.
I don't need VOD or all that other stuff the cable companies are trying to push for more revenue... I just want HD, and my HBO... which they just took away from me on my second tv, where I don't have a DVR box, unless I get another box.. for, of course, more money per month!
Thats GREAT!!

Though, they could probably just put up signs that say no lane changes (or pain the lines or put up some small barrier) and police could then ticket those who change lanes... It'll take actual police work (if you call ticketing that) but it will probably deter people from changing lanes for a while.
Gears of War, cause Halo 3 ain't makin it out anytime soon.
Someone askes why all the hate for iPod, and someone else asked, why all the hate for microsoft...
No hate here, i just want to see some good competition and someone who can compete with iPod and their advertising budget.

Someone made a good point that no one is forcig me to buy an ipod, but in some cases, thats not true. While we here on engadget are mostly consumer electronics educated, most of the world is not. Ask some a guy or girl over 50 wondering around the mall, what an MP3 player is or what a DAP is or even spell it out - digital audio player... and they won't have a clue!!! Then ask them what an iPod is and they'll know all about it... in fact, they might own one, and if they don't.. i bet you they bought one for thier grandkid/neice/nephew/son/daughter, etc
therefore, poor consumers are being sucked into a device that may not be the best for them.. just cause its all they know, and apple has them brain washed.

So your wondering.. what do i have, well I have an ipod mini (that someone bought me) but now its time for something new.. so I am going to look at all the devices out there and compare and then decide... the Zune looks pretty good. Maybe ipod will come out with some new features to compete.. who knows.. i like features.. or maybe i'll end up with some off brand piece.

And for those of you that think microsoft makes unreliable crap, i got news for you, the ipods aren't perfect either.

And finally, engadget folk are awfully quick to jump to conclusions... i see people saying, what it doens't come with a usb cable or headphones... think for a second people, befor you type. of course it does, this is just a list of extras... and its just like he ipod, lots of extras. and eventually other companies will probably make add ons for he zune just like the ridiculous amounts of stuff out there for the ipod.
Comcast (but i wish i had verizon fios and thier internet)
Family Guy
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
