And soon, all this pico, mobile, nano nonsense will fit on the head of a pin. Can't wait.
That monkey. Please tell that's shopped. Please. That aint right
Wait, has advertising come to the year 2000? A mixed couple, and their mulatto child? OMG! Obama, look what you've done!!
EXACTLY! Are you paying $500 for the enclosure??? C'mon, they must be crazy!
I wonder the price on this, as the Azentek Atlas CPC-1000 is a much better spec'd deal, running Vista on a 1.83 GHz Intel Core2Duo and 120 gig drive w/ DVD drive, proprietary OS overlay (for media functions) and PCMCIA slot in back. However it's some $2800 at Crutchfield. But I like the way things are going, if the decline in computer prices for desktops/laptops prevails, we'll get good things in a few years for nada...
Can't deny it, I love Vista as well. I'm a power user, as I do audio/video, and while I wasn't happy with my hardware vendors for their slow driver rollout, Vista has NOT crashed on me ever and my second machine (my testbed) is a pirated version, only cause I put everything that's junk on there (OSX, Linux, pirated stuff I might buy.), its still a trooper! I cant imagine how anyone could possibly have a true basis for hating Vista other than UAC, which I'm still not happy about, I'd rather have the option of turning it off at install, and no annoying nags telling me I need it on.
Man, beyond the series memories, I was so enamored with Daggit/Muffit in the series that I got a Muffit Xmas stuffed animal when I was kid. Had crazy amber plastic eyes and that cheap metallic material for the cyberne/robotic parts, along with Alf-like fur. I loved that damn thing...*sniff*... my parents have an Xmas story I will never live down cause of it. Tell you about it? Fuck no!

As for value, last I heard, Q6600 trounces Phenom 9500, @$8.00. Don't even think about Penryn. I'm no hater, I just don't like confused information, nor confused consumers.
By far my favourite lappie today. eSATA, nice look, great specs, and the price (about $1400 US)kicks Dells M1330 and Sonys SZ series arse. Now if I could get Home Prem over Vista Bidness. Admittedly the soldered on memory and lack of ODD yanks my left toenail, but, man, the world ain't perfect, this comes as close to complete as can be. I'mthiscloseto buying one.
Exactly, unless you have a tech savvy cop (which typically don't exist, thats why they're cops!), he aint gonna look in the spot where the "cd goes inta". This feature is new and unlike any other. Now I can drive and stow my crack pipe! Nice!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
