I think there's a fifth personality type in games that doesn't necessarily manifest in most MMOs, because they don't support it. This is the Creator, players who like to build and improve things. It's prevalent in RTS and Simcity type games, but most MMOs don't have a dynamic world and so can't really be altered and improved. SWG is an example of a "true" MMO with building elements.

I've played Everquest, WoW, EQ2, and countless other MMOs, all on a somewhat casual level. I never really reached the end game because I found the grind too dull. Recently though I started playing Eve Online and I've been hooked. It's a completely different style from normal MMOs. The complete open-endedness of it really appeals to me.
I'm really impressed with Microsoft on this one. They've done the right thing here. I could actually see myself upgrading to Vista at some point in the future now.
Zombie Master and Hidden: Source are two of the best multiplayer HL2 mods out right now. Source Forts is pretty good too.
Midway has definitely done the right thing here. They gained some major points in my book for this.
Heh, got me with that trick too. I knew Namco wouldn't abandon Sony users though.
If the Wi-Fi connectivity isn't lame like Final Fantasy 3's was, it should be cool. If it ever comes out in the States, that is.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"My father-in-law is heading back to school in the spring and wants a laptop for Christmas. The only catch is their budget is around $400 and he does not want a netbook. He's not very "tech savvy" at all and doesn't need a hoss of a machine (not that $400 could get you one). We would like to get it for him as soon as possible and would love some input."
