It's the Captain Pike chair for hard drives. One beep means files transferring, two beeps means error.
so, am I the only one who is wondering what the projected battery life is on these things, or have I missed something?
Another memory format I've practically never heard of gone extinct. If there's one thing about Sony I deplore is the frickin proprietary memory formats! If they adopted the standards they would stand to gain much more from an influx of new consumers that their losses on their worthless memory formats...

My biggest peeve right now is the 1gb memory stick pro duo that I bought for my s710a phone, only to find "only supports memory stick duo" under a microscope on the manual. Oh well, now I have a gig of memory for my sony camera :

Can't wait for a full feature set. Weight and battery life (and price) are my biggest concerns, though it'd be nice if the screen was detachable like that Toshiba wifi one... What's the general word on Asus laptops?
huzzah for logitech and jabra, it's about time they got something like this on the market. Until now the pickings were slim indeed!
That wouldn't defeat the purpose of having a camera you can throw on the ground and bounce off walls?
granted there's no chance for the lens to break, and that it doesn't need the string/wire attached to it all the time, $70 isn't bad for a 3mp camera. I'd like to see some sample photos from the unit itself though.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
