Dec 15th 2007 4:54AM The difference over here in the UK though is that you get WinMo phones for free on pretty much any contract; I paid nothing for my Hermes through T-Mobile 14 months ago. The Touch is free as well.
But
The iPhone rocks in at £300 ($600!); AND you're tied into a crummy contract AND you can only get it O2 which happens to be one of the most expensive and inefficient providers who only has a pitiful part of the country covered by EDGE. What's the point in getting an iPhone in the UK.....other than it looks pretty?

Mar 2nd 2007 5:18AM I've got a free phone....a Vario II on T-mobile UK. What's wrong with that as a handset? My last free handset was an O2 XDA IIs....again that'll be another free PPC. Plus my tariff is only £35 a month.
