Seems like a neat idea but it's looks more like an energy garden than a farm right now.
I wish there was an option for me to pay $5 to remove the ads. They take up too much room and I'm happy to support development of the app.
By the end of June...as in today?
Kids nothing, I might buy one of these for casual videos. $200 is a great price for all of those features. The picture above is of the PM1. The CM1 (available now) looks different. Too bad you need to buy proprietary Memory Sticks.
In this particular case avis was correcting his/her own grammar.
The bright side is that maybe the price of Blu-Ray will come down a little more in response. If this is viable competition, Sony might want to crush it as quickly as possible. I'm all for standards but geez, why did it have to be expensive, proprietary-everything Sony?
(hoping someone will port this to the Dell Axim x50v/x51v)
I almost bought the tx1305 at Fry's the other day for $799 (after rebate) but then I came home and saw a positive review on the tx2000z at notebookreview.com and think I'll go with it instead. But to be honest, for the half hour I spent playing with the 1305, I thought it was pretty cool. The speakers were excellent, the screen clarity was great and it was packed with features. I need something small I can open up on a plane and that doesn't weigh a ton. The "tablet" feature was gravy. If you want a real tablet PC, drop another grand on a Fujitsu, etc. I'm the target market for the tx2000z and looks just about right for me.

Please don't use the racist term "redneck". It's a racial insult aimed at poor whites. Would you call Mexicans "wetbacks" or Italians "whops", etc.? It's all or nothing folks.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
