Great article, but I'm pretty sure gas hasn't been under a buck since before the 1st Iraq war :)
These features are kind of BS, but whatever. Go Ford! My favorite auto manufacturer.
In order of quality:

Broken Steel
Point Lookout
The Pitt
Operation Anchorage
Mothership Zeta.

I think 3D could be great for gaming, but I rarely think it adds anything to movies. You either don't notice after a while, or it's kind of distracting throughout. You certainly notice the higher ticker price!

Plus all the 3D in the world couldn't hide Avatar's horribly tired and cliche-ridden story, at least for me. Hell I think I enjoyed frickin' Beowulf more.

"Legend" is inescapable proof that Ridley Scott is an overrated director. BAD!
Here's a brilliant idea! For the cost of 2 months AT&T data service, buy an iPod Touch and use Wi-Fi hotspots. You may have to go several minutes at a time between places with Wi-Fi, but you should be OK.

Next, get a normal cheap cell phone on a carrier you know works in your area.

Of course you'll need a coat with 2 pockets to accomplish this, but with the $600 you'll save each year you can buy several.

With stuff like this or the Zune, Microsoft is like some guy at the bar buying drinks for every hot woman he sees. They may nod politely, pretend to laugh, but in the end they're going home with Steam or the iPod.
Uncharted 2 was pretty awesome, story was great, but to be honest I got a little tired of every bad guy being dressed in either gray or black and taking 2-3 clips of ammo to kill.

You know if there's one game this year I went out of my way to recommend to people it was Batman: Arkham Asylum. It just did everything right and felt rather fresh, even if it was basically Dead Space meets MGS4 meets God of War. Like that's a bad thing.
Well it is kind of a problem when multiple companies collude to keep prices high instead of competing with each other which benefits the consumer. Also in the grand scheme of things there aren't really that many LCD manufacturers, compounding the problem.

That said, LCD monitor prices are always dropping - if anything it's HDTV prices that seem artificially high.
Harmonix - how to print money:

1) License a bunch of Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Dixie Chicks, Tanya Tucker etc.

2) Re-skin characters with cowboy hats and boots.

3) Sell "Country Rock Band" and buy solid gold toilets with the profits.

This isn't rocket science. There are a LOT of flyover states to sell this game too.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
