I want to win!
The one thing holding me back from the ZuneHD is that it's not open source, thus not open to further codec and container support. Did I see mkv container support at all? I dont think so.
Ok Chris, it really isn't as complicated as you make it sound, just because you don't really understand it. I wanted to read more about the specs today, and this whole crap came up on another site. I would put it on my own words, but this user did it for me, so I'll give him all the credit:

Egg: Not yet hatched.
Stem cell: A cell that can become anything.
Plaszma (plasma): The juice that feeds it all.

I understand what they are trying to do: Provide all the building blocks (hardware and an SDK) and let evolution come up with something amazing. The process doesn’t have to start at conception though, as this device is well formed already. Now we wait and see what develops. ;)

Where's the train?
loosely_coupled: do you actually think they are going to send water to the moon and use the nuclear reactor to heat up the water to turn the turbines? The reactor should be generating electricity using only thermocouples.
No response from who?

This is called complete OWNAGE you ignorant slut!
Given that electric is the only good way to go, I really don't care if they've done good on the diesel or biofuel front, because both of those sucks compare to electric. In that regard, Toyota is in the lead, and no, Mercedes will not change the competition for the majority of the players. The only difference maker will have to be giant motor companies like Toyota who can make cars affordable to everyone. Any car company can make an all electric car right now, probably better than Mercedes, but it is all about the price. Toyota has been actively researching better ways to make batteries for years, so everyone is already left in the dust right now. Give credit to Honda for making the first hybrid when gas prices were cheap, but Honda and Toyota were the only two companies who had a brain and realized that gas prices won't stay cheap forever. That was what killed the American car companies during the last oil shock, and it is killing them again. It's funny that people can't learn shit from their past failures.
Oh I read your post just now jagster, beat me to it.
Hmm...I guess the Macs must be using custom made PC CPUs. This blogger is an idiot/apple fanboy. You know, I switched from reading engadget and gizmodo depending on how fanboyish and stupid they get. I first read engadget til they became too much of little fangirls for apple, then I went to gizmodo, and then that changed to bunch of apple fangirls too while engadget was less of that. Now I think I'm going to switch back, you are making an article about a CPU to relate back to apple product you stupid fanboy.
You mean the one US company that makes a popular mp3 player? You say US, Europe, and Japan, but I'm pretty sure you can't really point out any specifics. The post you made plainly suggests that you are very naive in nature to think that the situation in the US is ideal, do you stay current with global news, or are you stuck in your own world making up your own stories? Your naive worldview aside, lets go back to the topic at hand. Most of the MP3 players are made in Korea, decent ones anyways, and then you have Sony from Japan, which isn't doing so great in the MP3 player market last time I checked. Can you name me any good MP3 players from Japan? Europe? Hmm...that's what I thought. From your post, you probably think that iRiver is from Japan too.
It's a slower wannabe, because the iPhone is a baby's toy compare to the PSP's 3D capabilities. It will pump out more polygons than an Apple user can count. The idiot who wrote the article doesn't understand the hardware being used, and the idiot Apple fanboys can't see anything wrong with the article.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
