Oct 16th 2006 7:28PM I would love to see a redone version of GoldenEye 007. Rare owns it but I don't know if Nintendo owns a piece too. 007 is my all-time favorite FPS. If it had online multiplayer and redone visuals (just to clean it up some) I would pay $10-$15. Another great game would be Perfect Dark.

Aug 13th 2006 2:17PM Microsoft is offering the HD-DVD because they want the format to win. It benefits them for this to happen. In order to help the cause the Add-on needs to be cheap. Toshiba has the most invested and is producing the drive. I really don't think it is about the hardware for toshiba. They want to get the systems into homes so people start buying movies.
I think the system will be $129-$149. This makes it a no-brainer for anyone with an HDTV. The drive doesn't need anything but the motor to spin the disc and the blue laser to read the info. Along with a few minor pieces that is it.
They have to be able to make the unit for under $100 so the price would get them a little profit. The 360 and HD-DVD player will be cheap. It really needs to be $100 so it matches the PS3 jr. I think it will be very cheap. The price will be dependent on Toshiba but if their stand-alone is any indication, the add-on will be priced great.

Aug 8th 2006 7:00PM I think its funny that people are bashing 360 owners for not having HDTV. My question is how many of you have HDTVs over 37"? How many over 50"? HDTVs that are small make no sense to me. A 32" HDTV is very small and hard to enjoy (since they are much smaller than their 4x3 screen ratio cousins). Unless you are 4-5 feet away you sit to far to enjoy HD.
Their is so much hoop-lah over HDTV that people go rushing into stores and grabbing the HDTV that the Circuit City salesman tells them to. If your HDTV is under 37" you wasted your money. My two cents. Sorry if this offends you but reality hurts.

Aug 7th 2006 7:16PM I think one of the big problems for the delayed European release is that they have to make the games. Then ship them oversees.
They also may have to put languages on them which would take more development time.
Trust me. If they could give you the game the same day as us they would. I think they want to bring some money in from the USA market.
This isn't a conspiricy. It is what happens making games.

Aug 7th 2006 7:10PM I thought I read somewhere that the radio will be able to access your music from the HDD and play that instead. I also think that the Rock is lacking, but their are some good songs in there.

Aug 3rd 2006 6:16PM I doubt we will see a Demo even close to launch. Their is so much hype that they could sell 3 million copies without blinking an eye. Why ruin that chance with a demo that people may not like? Time will tell I guess.

Aug 3rd 2006 6:12PM This is to add to JJ's comments. An HD-DVD player will be the best picture quality you can put into your HDTV. Cable is limited by cable bandwidth and has to compress the movie to fit it through the cable (along with all the other channels you aren't currently watching).
HD-DVD will look better than anything you have watched on your HDTV so far. I am shocked at the amount of posts so far. It almost seems like everyone already owns a HDTV. Well luckily I do and will compare the features/ price to a stand-alone player. I don't mind spending the extra cash on the Toshiba if it offers more things that I like (DVD up-conversion as an example).

Aug 2nd 2006 3:29PM If Blue Dragon is marketed well and it scores very high 9.5+ then it could help kick off the 360 sales. The key is trying to deliver games that the Japanese prefer and outdo what Sony is doing. Steal their franchises and create new ones that are more exciting.
Put gameplay in ads. The ads here in the U.S. have sucked. The ads that stick out to me are the games that show off a ton of footage (Oblivion, Dead Rising, NCAA 2007). The Dead Rising ads have been the best by far.
Give gamers a reason to buy a 360. The social aspect isn't working. Footage is.

This should mean that MS, Sony, NIN will have their own glamourous shows that should get more media coverage now.
E3 has become crazy. I always loved seeing the amount of titles announced and almost vomiting at the sheer number of titles. No way anyone could keep up. This is a good thing.
