Yeah! You need to be #1 or #2 in an enormous market, or its just not even worth it. All that money, sitting there waiting for you to take it, but you might as well just give up if you are not the biggest player.

Yeah, is this thing an iPhone or something? For $99 you should get every brand new technology there is!
Its the worst smartphone possible? Just because its cheap? Give me a break, you have never even used one.

Also, why do people buy anything when they can buy something better for "only 25% more"? Why even stop there, when for just 100% more you can get something even better than that, and for 300% more you can get something better than the third thing which is way better than the first two!

Here is an idea, you can send everyone who wants to save several hundred dollars a check and they can all buy iPhones at last.
OMGWTFBBQ??!!11!!

A company puts out an ad that points out a large flaw in one of their biggest competitors! What a new low this world has sunk to, a terrible tragic day.

Why do you guys hate Palm so much? I mean, you have to really really hate a company to slam them for this, its really getting ridiculous on this blog.
Because you will be paying $50 a month for two years with any phone? What is the point of your comment?
Are you even old enough to have owned a Palm device? I didn't realize parents of high school kids buy them Treo's these days.
Despite its flaws, PalmOS is STILL more advanced than the iPhone ignoring the eye candy. If you skinned the PalmOS to be a flashy POS, it would provide a whole lot more functionality than your $600 "new" technology that cannot send an MMS or cut and paste. I would rather have something with hokey icons that works well and does everything I want than glossy widgets. A smartphone needs to do a lot to be more useful then a flip-phone and flashyness cannot make up for a lack of real features.

Have you actually tried the keyboard? I am guessing you haven't. I've owned a Centro for a little while and after about 1 week of adjustment from the Treo keyboard, I can type just as fast and accurately (e.g. very). The form factor is perfect and I think they made the keyboard _just_ big enough to not suck.
Mitch,
Obviously you do not work in the industry, Palm does not have the weight to be able to do that. Only Motorola and Nokia might be able to pull something like that off, Verizon even told Apple to go to hell.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
