I rent cars every week for work, and I've driven a Cobalt about three times so far, and this week I just happen to have an Aveo. Now, with that being said, both are garbage, both are cheap junk.

BUT! ... The Aveo seems far better than the Cobalt, you feel far more connected to the road, everything seems a BIT (note, a BIT) sturdier, I like the steering wheel a little better, it handles OK... Honestly I was afraid of getting "stuck" with an Aveo for a week, but I actually prefer it over the Cobalt, because those are just total junk.

Of course, the Aveo is slightly better (in my opinion) but what do you know, it's not made by Chevy!!! They had to outsource to make something that I actually enjoy driving... it's not like I like being in it more-so than my Mercedes, of course, but the little bugger has character, its weak, but its fun to floor it and listen to the little engine zoom and not go anywhere, its really a laugh... i enjoy the entertainment of the whole thing. Its also kinda fun to roll the windows up manually, and hear *squeak squeak squeak* as it goes up... lol the car's too much fun. Another note, the stereo is absolute trash.

There are SOME stereo's that when you adjust the treble and bass, they improve to be "reasonable," but the Aveo's speakers are just a total loss.
Ok the software is "technically" designed for a touch screen, yes, but it's not well thought out... at all.... i've seen somebody use these stupid things you have to use the very tip of your finger to try and attempt to tap on certain menus because the buttons aren't designed for being used with a touch screen... its the same interface somebody would use without a touch screen, its not easy, its crammed, its not designed for people's fingers... apple's iPhone buttons are nice and big and it's well thought out, easy to work with, etc etc... i give up i'm not going to go on about this, it's a rediculous comparison, the iPhone is far nicer of a product, end of story.
LOL "Apple drone" No, somebody who knows a good, quality product when they see it... i prefer to open my eyes, i guess. And yes, Noah is exactly right, it's mostly all about software... the crappy windows mobile software is simply not even designed for a touch screen, HTC threw a touch screen (a cheap, flimsy plastic one at that) over your standard plastic smartphone and called it the HTC touch or whatever, it's junk.. plus Apple decided to use good materials like the optical quality glass (which is EXTREMELY difficult to scratch, trust me) and the aluminum casing... it's excellent and VERY durable.
Get that HTC peice of junk outta here and leave room for the companies who are actually willing to innovate. There should be a default judgment because their product sucks balls. LOL
WTF??? Why did they make THAT?? The concept was way sexier and totally different... this looks like a buick, infiniti, or lexus... i mean, a bit nicer cause it's a Jag.. but still, come on Jaguar give us something unique, like the damn concept.
Uh oh... yeah i agree, the first was fine.. pretty good acting, the 2nd i could go along with, but the third was rubbish, terrible acting... maybe they'll do better.
I think that's a 60 or 61 Imperial, i dunno about the rear end of it though... weird.
Andrew:

That is VERY obvious. OF COURSE you wouldn't configure a gaming rig identical to this Gateway, you'd build it how you want it... I was only making the point that building one would cost more money, typically. Therefore, custom building one with the identical specs to this machine would probably cost more money. You must have misunderstood what I said.
Last time i've tried to custom config a PC compared to an already built brand, it always came up to be more expensive, actually. I'm not going to bother to custom config to match this gateway's specs, but i'm doubtful.. I'm sure it depends on which models etc, but whatever. My point is, it used to be cheaper to build, but for the most part, it's not anymore.
Are you joking me? You could get a Mac Pro Quad Xeon for like, the SAME price... am I missing something?? Gateway cheap plastic w/ only a standard desktop chip, vs a nice aluminum sleek beauty with quad Xeon?? I think the only thing the gateway has is a better video card, but who cares *DROOL* QUAD XEON...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
