God I'm glad my comment wasn't first. I would have drooled on everyone below me. :)

Love the cloud, but hell, I Want One Of Those!
Or another way to look at it is that Twitter is a great way to get your project started, build a user base, and then once you have a decent user base, move them over to a desktop client.
@barry99705,

Yes they added WPA encryption to the newer firmware builds. Rovio owners with older firmware builds can download a new build for free.

I am the webmaster for that site and there is no spyware on that page. I see that you just joined Engadget as a user today and that this is your very first comment ever, but would you mind providing the name of the tool or test that you used to make that disturbing claim and a link to the vendor so I can investigate it and run the same test? Thanks.
Like the CrunchGear article says that's really WowWee's Femisapien female robot localized for the Japan market. The "kissing mode" is just one of her many modes along with here ability to interact with the original Robosapien, walk with you while you hold her hand, Guard an area, dance incredibly well, hand people a business card, posable dance programming ability, and much more:

Elmosapien wants to play with Elmo Live now! Especially the head:

Mark,

Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to see Chumby when it comes out.
mark,

Where is the Chumby as far as formal release? I've been expectantly waiting for that one too. It's pretty much the icon for cool tech for those of us who can remember the original Dick Tracy wristwatch communicator (wrist watch two way TV communicator).

Fortunaely, at least for now, Ugobe's retail partners, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Amazon, and Target still have inventory available for preorder:

Regarding videos, there are some newer ones out now, especially the ones on Pleo World, that are a lot better:

There have been a lot of Pleo prototypes seen on the web in video and picture form varying wildly in looks and capability. The best bet it to go to Pleo World and look for the latest stuff; both multimedia and technical specs.
Here's a video of a Robopet being controlled by voice recognition with the help of a PC:

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
