"What's with the SONY bashing" ...are you seriously serious? I'LL TELL YOU WHY. are you Sony fans die hard or what? Do you have a blindfold wrapped around your eyes!!!

GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!! HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEWS LATELY? Sony products suck bro! The Laptop batteries BLOWING up, The consoles overheating at the last gameshow, now an update required (not software, FIRMWARE) I have no problem paying a lot of money for a console IF IT WORKS.

People have been waiting for the PS3 since spring (when sony promised it would debut)You couldn't convince me to own a Sony product EVEN IF IT WAS FREE!!! The last SONY thing I bought was a Mini-Disc Player. I really thought everyone was gonna buy one. I was just with my friend at the mall and he bought a 1GB memory stick for $65 NO LIE! I was like Dude you know you can buy a 1GB SD card for $19.99 He was like, "yea but I can't use those with my PSP"

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THEIR BLU-RAY!!!

I can see it now...
...Dude why don't you just buy an HD-DVD...cause I have a Blu-ray drive built right into my snazzy PS3 that only me and 2 other people in my town own.
Viiv is a cute little sticker for idiots that want something nobody has. The fact is Viiv is just like centrino...centrino is hardware that when pieced together saves electricity, and Viiv is a media center PC, and a desperate cry for help by intel.
I never bought an ipod simply because its apple. Ive been waiting 5 years for microsoft to come out with this. I am not partial to microsoft, but seeing how I have a mediacenter PC, a mediacenter extender, and a X360, I wouldn't mind buying this product so all my products work in harmony.

If I had an apple computer I would've definately bought an ipod.
I have cingular because I had Verizon before and they had no service in just a couple areas and they were pretty important to me. switched to cingular and never had a problem. They're quad band phones can be used all over the world.

The main reason I switched to cingular is because I got sick of the helicopters and guys flying down buildings on ropes you know "the network" that follows you around. Try sneeking into a house late at night with those guys...they totaly blow my cover.

As for cingular banning engadget from their forums...NOT COOL! Engadget is my favorite website. Although it seems to be accepting the word engadget currently?
@Torpedo
UHHHH? you sound like you've been in a cave the past couple years of the total 8 that you've been alive. Let me bring you up to speed...The PS3 doesn't exist yet so it can't possibly have more features because...well...it doesn't exist. Also you must be really stupid to prefer a non existing console over an X360. But maybe since youre 12 you prefer playing with your imaginary PS3.

As for this HD-DVD I just might buy it for 2 reasons
1. I want to be the first one to take it apart and swap it with my 360s existing drive.
2. I'll bet you anything it will connect via USB and if it wont work with my alienware laptop. I WILL NOT REST UNTIL I HACK IT TO WHERE I HAVE A PORTABLE HD-DVD PLAYER!
OK now I am starting to be disappointed in this site. I look up to engadget for my nerd tendencies but WTF?! I've owned two of these phones 8-9 months ago I got rid of it and bought another crappy PPC phone. THERE is absolutely NOTHING interesting about this phone! it's old news. I thought this is where people came for NEWS...the l8st and the gr8st new stuff.
ENGADGET YOUR KILLING ME!!! I need more material so I can sound cool around my nerd friends! Some more news about AMD and ATI would be cool.
@ DAN

Well maybe they wouldn't have a parts issue if they didn't include a bluray drive in the console. Microsoft opted not to put an HD DVD because they wanted consumers to have a fair say in the next generation format. MS did not shove it in your face and say THIS is the format you will have to buy! Clearly SONY wanted the biggest piece of the pie, they wanted not only to have the best next console but also the next format. GREEDY GREEDY and they wanted us to pay for it too. Now they get NOTHING...atleast from me anyway.
SONY is going to have to call in the energizer bunny to get out of this mess!
I don't know what to say... you really did shut me up there. Hands down (after 3,416 words) you are hereby declared the winner of this arguement. Thanks for finally putting in your two cents about the mice, or mouses whatever YOU think is proper. Now let's see what others have to say.

Oh BTW that was really funny how you made fun of my name...Toe hugger! lol
@ ROD
People would like to post their opinions about the actual article above. Your comment is useless your still a dumbass accept it and move on. A kiosk is a latil word originally Ki-os-ko, meaning small store. Therefore "mouse kiosk" is used in its proper context JUST LIKE newspaper kiosk and refreshment kiosk.

BTW thanks for the three page history and definition of the word kiosk...a simple URL would have worked fine and would have taken up less space.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
