That headline is misleading.
Maybe your just bad at poetry j, but you ruined a perfectly good poem with an awful ending. All you had to do was make it rhyme.

Roses are Red
Violets and Blue
That kid got pwned
And his little friend too

See was that so hard? :P

Its amazing how people use children for their own political agenda. Its always about the children right!? The poor children being influenced by evil people, we must stop them! The children are defenseless...its not like there is someone directly responsible for them right? Like I dunno...their parents?

Its also amazing how adults have been proclaiming the end of society since its inception. First its those evil books...then its that evil jazz...then its that evil radio...then its those evil movies...then its that evil television...then its that evil rock and roll...then its that evil gangsta rap...then its those evil videogames!

Now if you had any intelligence you would look back on your youth and remember the vice of your own generation. Did Rock and Roll really screw up your life? No? Well there were groups shouting at the top of their lungs that it would!

Wake up people! These agendas have nothing to do with children. These nuts want to control your life. Do you think they wouldnt ban pornography for everyone if they could? Of course they would, but since they cant they resort to the child arguement. Gotta protect the children!

The only people responsible for children are their parents. Stop trying to protect other peoples kids and worry about your own!

Wow, that was a very british article. The first sentence alone had me confused with your crazy english slang!

"It's always a bit dodgy pulling amps off the mains in the local"
The infamous Spike117 finds this post three thumbs up!
"So, why are fanboys so eager to jump on the Wii as the last bastian of great gameplay when nintendo has has their last three consoles fail (VirtuaBoy too)? You guys need to see things more objectively than lap up whatever Nintendo feeds you..their console track record is abysmal."

Please explain your definition of failure. The reason people like Nintendo is not for the hardware, its for their games.

But that is a double edged sword. The reason Nintendo games are consistently great is half because of their software development and half because they control every aspect of the hardware used.

If you read any quote from a major developer complaining about Nintendo's hardware ability it is usually followed up with "But Im still going to buy [Wii/Gamecube/N64] for myself to play Zelda".

Nintendo designs hardware to play Nintendo games. If you like Nintendo games you buy Nintendo hardware. If however you do not like Nintendo games your better off with a Sony or Microsoft product.

This does not however take away for the quality of Nintendo's hardware. It does exactly what its designed for.

You ever hear anyone complain that Pixar movies arent real enough? Why are they so kiddie!? I mean common only kids watch Pixar right!?

Pixar makes movies for Pixar, why don't you go complain about them?
Oh and on top of which I can't see reviewers playing Zelda and giving games like Gears of War 90%+. Its like comparing Caviar to frozen hamburgers.
Rob your insane. Zelda alone will put the launch average way up. On top of which for a game to get a review score in the 60's it has to be just plain bad.

You are also forgetting that when reviews are written the novelty of a new control scheme hasn't had a chance to wear off yet. I would expect the exact opposite. Review scores to be inflated compared to the games test of time.

A perfect example of this will be the score Madden 07 recieves on the Wii. Already people are praising its new control scheme for breathing fresh air into the series. The review score will probably be inflated do to the novelty of a new control scheme and not the overall game mechanics or features.

I would expect this to happen to most if not all Wii games if the control scheme is implemented properly.
The reason these games have the same colour pallette is pretty obvious to anyone whos ever done 3D CGI work.

When trying to make things look pretty in CG it is much easier if the scene is dark. When the scene is bright all of your shortcuts are very very obvious.

If you want an example of this turn your brightness on your television up, does the game look as good?

Once the hardware reaches the point where it can render light efficiently and they start using modeling techniques like NURBS instead of polygons you will see brighter representations.

Pixars movies are a great example of bright colour pallettes, but if you look at their early shorts many are dark.
Well Im glad you guys took my comment to heart and produced a very funny edition. Thank you, this was much more amusing.

"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
