I have to question if you are one of the 700(ish) people who actually bought from Psystar...seems unlikely

(You could still build your own)
@DrDr

I've been waiting quite a while....hopefully 2 week we will see an unlocked model, although we've seen few rumors about a GSM device recently. Not sure why there is the need to compare it to iPhone in this case. I'd say the comparison just isn't all that valid at this point.

Regardless, WebOS has lost a lot of steam since first being release(not because its bad, thats just the nature of hype) Hopefully putting it out unlocked and on Verizon can still save Palm
Here is an idea...put your devices out on more then just one provider in your home market!(and the 3rd largest of all things!)
Why are people so big on the number?
(same for iPhone)

I get Apple/Google pushing that number since more total app, it allows for more good app...but I look for a device which has the apps I want, not one which has the most app

I wish, but Palm's color is that orange too

@AndroidRokz

I think you'd get the HTC HD2 as the answer from most...that tends to be the best WinMo device thats out there(unless you want a hardware keyboard)
@Wildman

I believe Verizon allows 3rd party devices(as in phones not sold by them) to go on their network, if it has been approved by Verizon. There was phone a while back that Verizon had plans to allow on their own network(under an Open Dev program)

Its not a good bit away from GSM carriers like AT&T/T Mobile

(see below for the phone I mentioned)

As far the update, with T Mobile offering to sell it, thats not crazy shocking, considering T Mobile recently put out the "no contract" plans where you can bring your own device or buy one out right from them.

I can see Verizon saying no to that, as they have not ever been very open with their devices, but T Mobile is pushing the "lower month bill prices, but phones are more up to the consumer"

Either way, I'm very very interested!
@Kieran

Isn't the Magic(My Touch 3G in the US) called the G2 on T Mobile?(I assume you mean in Europe)..and the Hero is G3?

Cell phone names are far to complicated!

Wi-Fi can't hurt...and Pixi's browsing is pretty darn good..WebOS got that down right!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
