Are you serious? It's just a little menu bubble. You can't ignore that?
Hell, the highlighting doesn't even default to the ad. It defaults to the "More about... whatever" option, and that takes you to swivel search.
This is basically the least invasive advertising I've ever seen, and if it means funding for the development of new features and better technology for my TiVo box, then I think I can deal
I agree with these 4, and I would also like to see that horrible OS taken off and replaced with something a bit more.... useful. Granted, I'd probably put something other than what came on it on there anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

It's pretty BA as is, though
I'm interested in the concept of being mauled without even knowing it's happening.......
They'd better add little wheel-powered generators, because I really doubt the guys on cart duty are going to want to plug them all in every night.
Obviously you and I saw different adverts.....
If only corporations listened to common sense instead of marketing execs, eh? haha
Oh, no, I wholeheartedly agree with that. The new tagline is absolutely horrid.
I just find it entirely irritating that everyone can fawn over the iPod and then turn around and say the Zune is an awful device. They're practically the same thing, and the features that differentiate them are so minute that it comes down to a matter of preference instead of an actual matter of which one is statistically better.

You know, I actually read a review on the 30gb Zune a while back that listed the lack of clickwheel as a con? I mean, honestly. It's like some bizarre spinoff of 50's conformity ideals being applied to consumer electronics.

Sorry for sounding like such a dick about it. It's sort of a pet peeve =P
In no way did Microsoft drop "the social". They may not be pushing the tag line anymore, but it's still a very prominent aspect of the Zune's marketing, and I've got a bunch of signage sitting around for next week's launch to prove it.
Hell, you can even see the word SOCIAL printed in the middle of the screen in the picture on this article.

You don't have to like the Zune, but quit ignorantly trying so hard to hate it. Being a dumb fanboy doesn't help anybody.
Yeah, iPod's will only sync with one library, so if you sync on someone else's computer, it will clear all of your stuff and replace it with theirs.
Well, the product page SAYS solid wood... but I'm not so sure...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
