When I see pictures like this and fine out that there are people in New Jersey that actually look like this it ruins my day. In fact. Christmas is cancelled. I hate that people that douchey are alive somewhere looking this stupid and they have no idea that they look like complete morons. That guy's hair makes me weep. It's not at all the same. Drink water and hold your pee is not the same as come play tackle football. The large portion of the population doesn't know that hyper-hydration can mess up your electrolyte balance and cause your brain to swell until it crushes itself. People do know that tackle football involves tackling. One sound innocuous and the other sounds violent.

If they had been informed that the contest could potentially kill them it would have been a different matter. They likely only signed a standard release form. Which doesn't apply. It's tantamount to calling a contest "Play with fuzzy bunnies" and having them sign a standard release and never mentioning that the bunnies had rabies.

It's not as simple as "stupid contest with stupid contestants". There was a point during the radio show where one of the DJs actually mentioned that it was dangerous. The family won because the people holding the contest showed that they had knowledge of the danger but didn't take precautions to prevent it.

Yay. Another product not available in Canada because of a combination of crappy wireless carriers and that we won't bend over and take US style copyright reamings...

That's unfortunate. I was looking forward to getting one for my ipod touch. Just because Garmin doesn't have something I can use. The least apple could do is let me pair my ipod with my bluetooth external GPS. I prefer the Garmin interface so it would be nice to have a garmin app, maps and bluetooth pairing.
