GM brings back employee pricing to sell remaining 2008 models {Autoblog}
Aug 19th 2008 11:56AM I wonder if Ford will follow suit? They still have employee pricing in the F150, right? Even though I already get GMS pricing I wouldn't mind getting a Ford Edge with a rebate and their employee price (A-plan)

Aug 19th 2008 10:45AM BTW, does anyone know if they are keeping the current rebates on the cars with employee pricing?
If they are, you can get a Hummer H3 for $10200 under sticker. Gas prices are meaningless when you get that kind of discounts.

Aug 19th 2008 10:38AM I already get the GMS discount. The prices are totally outstanding. Last month I got a $5000 discount on a new HHR for my Mom.

GM debuts fuel-saving XFE versions of Silverado/Sierra and Tahoe/Yukon {Autoblog}
Aug 12th 2008 8:23AM It took them long enough to put the 6 speed tranny in. The Silverado and Tahoe should have had this from day one.
2009 Acura TL fully revealed {Autoblog}
Aug 9th 2008 9:29AM Acura has taken what was a nice design (nothing super but still nice) and totally bastardized it into a very hideous block of metal.
Ford F-100 put on hold {Autoblog}
Aug 7th 2008 2:55PM I totally agree with you.
However, I believe Ford is thinking the market isn't there for them to invest the money on two different models (even ones on shared platforms). They may feel that they need a good return on their investment and that more fuel efficient engines can be used in multiple products..
DISH Network loses 25,000 net subscribers in Q2, sees revenue increase {Engadget HD}
Aug 6th 2008 5:15PM I'm done with the Dish. They moved the NFL network to a more expensive tier and screwed customers in the process. Yes, I know the whole story how the NFL started this fiasco but Dish is the one that ultimately screwed the customer.
This is my last month of Dish. Next month I'll be enjoying my NFL Sunday Ticket like I should have in the first place.
Analysts: Ford could sell Mazda to raise capital {Autoblog}
Aug 4th 2008 6:51PM I would disagree with many about selling Volvo. True it contributes the design of some Ford platforms but that doesn't mean a Volvo sale would end production of the current or next generation Taurus just like it wouldn't end production of the Volvo S40 (based on the Mazda3/EuroFocus). Those kinds of details are worked out in sales contracts.
Volvo is a money loser at this point. It is sad to say that since Volvo's product line is pretty dang good but that what it is. Mazda is a money maker and the platforms it supplies are more geared for the fuel efficient future that we are going to see in this market. Mazda is also the Ford's only foothold in Japan. IMO Volvo is more likely to get the knife.

Jul 31st 2008 11:05AM For the most part, you're right. The viewfinder does give you the best experience.
However Live View is incredibly useful if you are holding the camera very low to the ground, over your head, or any way that doesn't allow you to put your eye up to the viewfinder.
