I'm glad I already preordered the N900, and I'll be keeping it for quite a while if they're going to start "tailoring" Maemo on future devices...
now if we could only get all carriers to use a standard (like GSM, and common frequencies) then the device silliness could subside a bit.
if this thing is running maemo and pans out, i may have to pay early termination to leave at&t and go to t-mobile if that's my only option. [drools on keyboad... ] ... and i've *had* the iPhone, 3G, 3GS, Nokia N97... and been saying forever that i wanted a slightly smaller N810 with mobile phone capabilities.

Just got off the phone with Amazon - I think that's the "second batch/bigger batch" date possibly - they still are "planning for delivery between the 9th and 22nd" ... we shall see.
Amazon site update: In stock on June 25, 2009.
It's not the final firmware - I think this is a beta test model or something - maybe for development?
woot! p-p-p-p-p-p-puh-leeeeaaase! :)
Excellent! Now I'm going to think even more about opening a boulangerie ... (tech + carbs = drool)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
