@Allie - they did check and nothing showed up for Mrs. O. Either she paid for her own clothes or the DNC is better at hiding it then the RNC.

@eda - I care as I DONATED to the RNC prior to McCain picking Palin so MY donation is going to clothes vs. helping out candidates in tough senate races such as Colorado who are facing some serious challenges against the DNC money machine. I cannot see the return on investment of dropping $150K on clothes when there is a serious issue of the DNC OVERTAKING the senate.

@phatkrome - agree that Peter has some great views on money but I am getting sick of the partisan notes that have nothing to do with anything. If I wanted to hear some left-wing mongering I can head to the Huffington post.

@Sean - well the problem is that post from NYPost on Obama and caviar was wrong. See their retraction from yesterday.

Bottom line as a long-term RNC supporter I am stupefied that someone did not see how dumb a move like this was. They are putting out Palin as a common woman, yet drop $150K on her clothes. I am sickened and will vote for Barr and the Libertarian party.

@PCL

This is not ridiculous as it points to the priority and judgment of Palin. Come on now. She has been portraying herself as this common woman and then goes around doing something stupid like this points to either lack of judgment or plain stupidity. Look I don’t have the problem with RNC paying $150K for her cloths, but I have a problem when she is riding on this claim that she is a common woman and that Obama is an elitist. It is totally hypocritical.
Okay let me make it clear here: Obama bought it with his OWN money. palin got YOU the donators to the RNC to pay for $150K worth of suits.

Are you that much of an idiot to compare $1500 suits to $150000?? That is the equivalent of 100 suits for Obama.

Why is this important? Well let me spell it out for you which is the hypocrisy of Palin. She says she is the waste-buster in Washington yet is free with having her party pay for $150K worth of clothes. She is portraying herself as the common woman yet feels it is necessary to only shop at high-end stores?
I only pay $30 buck for internet so this is a better choice than yours as I can chose what crap I want to watch vs. you paying $100+ for all the crap and maybe watch 10% of it.
Free? You forget that you get a monthly bill form your cable company?
I have to throw my opinion in here too. I was at the LA event yesterday and had a blast. First the movie does suck, but heck it was free (plus free drink/popcorn) and had Jordana Brewster so I was cool with it. Also you get to watch it with 250 other geeks so that made it fun.
Secondly, they gave away a t-shirt and sticker to everyone so you already come out ahead.
As for the game, yes the control scheme will get use to as there is a learning curve. But eveything else was amazing. The graphics kick butt and I did not notice any frame slowdown at all when I played. Could be different for the other gamers.

Finally, fyi to everyone here it looks like they are going to have two more events this month tieing into GoW so look out for it and make sure to go.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
