@Arsenic

So, you should probably put your money where your mouth is. Give them some. We'll all be here next Monday to mock you. But of course, if you're right, you can mock us. We won't mind.
To anyone with any HR experience, it's clear that the published reason for dismissing this sysadmin is probably not the first, nor the only reason.

There's some history here, I'm sure, and the SETI@home issue was just used as the "official" reason to let this guy go - it was most likely just the last reason.

This is a government entity, and as such, the official reasons for dismissing personnel must be carefully crafted, lest there be a public outcry or even legal actions. No, this guy most likely just got on the wrong side of the wrong person.
Man, iGadget has all but ran off all the PC folk. Oh well, if that's what they were going for.
That damn Barbie Pink alone makes me not want it.
I agree with you Oli - I had to laugh at the videos for hosting your own "launch party". Who does that? If I ever got invited to an OS launch party, I think I'd probably have to just punch the person inviting me right in the throat.
I don't know what could be telling you that. Unless it's all the constant, whiny, MS bashing articles, and constant, fanboy, APPLE STORE IS DOWN!!!!! "articles"

No, Endgadget (iGadget) is fair, and non-biased one way or the other - they just like to whine when anybody other than Apple does anything cool - which is pretty darn often.

If OS's were Star Trek franchises, Windows would be Captain Kirk, and OSx would be Picard - always talking, talking, talking, but not ever really doing anything. No sir - I'll take the OS that's not afraid to "take it outside" and have sex with any lifeform that can be catogorized as female (or at least that can't definitively be categorized as male).
iGadget - you sound every bit as whiny in this article as an Apple Fanboy.
I doubt it. You're microwave is a slut and everyone knows it. Prolly asking for whatever it gets.
***for*** Beijing. My Kingdom for an edit reply button.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
