Craigslist Find of the Decade: 940,000 mile '95 Honda Civic {Autoblog}
Jul 12th 2008 2:13PM Shoot, drive only freeway miles constantly and you'll get a million miles out of any car.
Production Jeep J8 debuts in Germany {Autoblog}
Jul 11th 2008 11:54AM Jeep desperately needs a good 4-cylinder diesel. Or the MB diesel V6.
2009 Acura TL shows its face, AWD confirmed {Autoblog}
Jul 11th 2008 2:17AM I foresee 3rd party grill sales going through the roof for this car, and for Acura as a whole. I'd get this if there was a mesh or other grill replacement option.
Though really, I like the straight, taut line design of the current TL (and TSX, not the new one) compared to the extraneous curves of this. However, haven't seen it in person, so its hard to say.
Fortune mag profiles Tesla Motors, leaks a Model S sedan hint {Autoblog Green}
Jul 11th 2008 2:10AM Hatchback could be like the 350Z, looks like a coupe, but entire rear glass raises up.
I think more research should be done to replace the glass with a lighter plastic. I think current plastic windows are prone to scratching and a couple of other things, but it could be easily rectified, methinks. Could save, depending on the car, a hundred pounds I bet.
Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (supposedly) to start under $27k {Autoblog}
Jul 9th 2008 11:30PM I remember when America started getting the Evo (8), and it started right at $28k. 271hp. Lighter than this, too. I'm sure this Ralliart is probably more comfortable and civil/controllable, but slower, maybe not as fun?
I'm sure the buyers of this car will easily just hit the ECU and pump it up to 270hp. Will probably be a steal for what it can do with a bit of tweaking.

Jul 7th 2008 9:06PM I sure hope that the domestics will catch on. Just switching the Ford Explorer from body-on-frame to unibody isn't going to cut it.
VIDEO: New BMW 750Li and 730d out for beauty shots {Autoblog}
Jul 6th 2008 9:16PM No freaking way, for some reason when I was watching the video I just thought, "Volvo already did this, and they did a much better job."
I can't pin down any areas where it looks like the volvo, but I can't shake the feeling it was the inspiration. Whatever, Volvos look nicer than this.
Stunning Kia Forte revealed! {Autoblog}
Jul 2nd 2008 11:16AM Yeah, I'll bite. Looks like the Civic...a Civic redesign with the design language of the current Accord. Hit with an ugly stick.
American biofuel plants filing for bankruptcy protection {Autoblog Green}
Jul 1st 2008 11:27AM And there it is. Maybe we can learn from our mistakes, not make fuel from food. Use algae for biodiesel, waste cellulose for ethanol. Or hopefully LS9 gets going, and we can have 104 octane biofuel, which would be loads better than ethanol (or mixed with ethanol to give better emissions)
