Menq's $80 EasyPC E790 netbook runs Windows CE now, should run Android later (video) {Engadget}
Nov 16th 2009 1:18AM The fact that its so cheap and can be considered a throwaway product has me morally concerned. How many of these are going to end up in a landfill or recycling center?
2011 Buick Regal returns with four-cylinder only engine lineup {Autoblog}
Nov 12th 2009 11:55AM The reason for no 6 cylinder is fuel economy standards. Well, thats my guess anyway. Yet, you could get a V6 that gets close to the same as the turbo, so...I dunno.
Still, the turbo 4 sound like fun. That is what the TSX-s shoulda had.
VIDEO: Low-flying pelican results in Bugatti Veyron Hydro Edition [*UPDATE: Now with actual crash footage!] {Autoblog}
Nov 12th 2009 11:49AM I was just thinking the same thing. One tire on a mud patch undoes an expensive AWD system? And no hands-free? The destruction wreaked on this amazing car should be enough to make a law against non-handsfree phoning in texas.
AMD spells out the future: heterogeneous computing, Bulldozer and Bobcats galore {Engadget}
Nov 12th 2009 11:37AM The real challenge is getting programmers to understand how these new chips with the GP APU work, and program accordingly. Or not, I have no idea how that happens.
Intel shells out $1.25 billion to settle all AMD litigation {Engadget}
Nov 12th 2009 11:33AM I am really interested in what patents Intel stole. Have they released that info to the public? Also, I wonder how AMD will use this large infusion of cash. Partly to shore up their lawyer retainer, of course, but if they can use it to speed up the roadmap they just layed out, I wouldn't mind. I would love my next notebook to have an AMD with an ATI APU.
Intel Arrandale chips detailed, priced and dated? {Engadget}
Nov 12th 2009 11:27AM Look down a few posts on the engadget page, the answer lies there. (Hint: AMD isn't really here until 2011)
First Drive: 2010 BMW X6 ActiveHybrid is technologically impressive... but to what end? {Autoblog}
Nov 11th 2009 1:43PM Wow, not a single BMW fan to defend this vehicle? I would have expected at least one. Did I miss that one, is there one person to defend this X6?
VIDEO: Self-policing Wisconsin woman calls 911, turns herself in for drunk driving {Autoblog}
Nov 5th 2009 11:32PM I am probably aping everyone else here when I say that while what she did was admirable, it would have been ok if she just called a friend to drive her home instead. Dumb drunk move.
Lenovo IdeaPad U150 gets unboxed and critiqued (video) {Engadget}
Nov 5th 2009 12:04AM I read this engadget post on my HP Mini 311 that just arrived a couple days ago. It was like looking into a frickin spacetime-warp!
Also, when I started to remove some of the crapware, HP put 32 games on it! And the worst offender was AOL (which means instantly delete). WHatever the program was, it was almost a gigabyte. Thanks but no thanks.
Jeep Patriot and Compass being replaced by models from Fiat... Panda, here we come! {Autoblog}
Nov 4th 2009 4:00PM I think the rendering needs a little more work to better reflect American styling. The compass, while a bit boring, I find not as offensive as this rendering. Perhaps the new vehicle will mimic the Wrangler a bit, or even the GC.
