iTunes has always been rather hostile to indies. I approached them years ago about getting the 5 bands I have distro rights for on the store, they told me I was not big enough for them to allow me into the store and that they would not be offering their services to us.

I had to wait 2 more years before TuneCore opened up the iTunes store to everyone.

Apple really doesn't care about indie music. They want you to go through a middle man. Which defeats one of the reasons to go digital.
They tried this before, it was called FireWire then.

One cable to rule them all. How did that work out?

If the licensing fees are low enough this will catch on, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
with this watch I will be able to show up for work on time, thus allowing me to contribute more money in taxes and being able to spend more which will of course save the economy!
I could finally replace the e2c's that were stolen from me! Sweet!
Dremel Stylus... for my circuit bending & modding needs, now I'll catch hell for getting plastic bits strewn about the house.
Go buy a good quality shirt and just have a local embroidery outfit do up the rest, then you will be assured that the quality of the shirt won't suck and you can get anything you want put on the shirt.
This is why I hate having people that seem to know nothing about ripping music from a CD handling the digital files for mass distribution, on emusic, napster and iTunes you will find songs that have been ripped imporperly and contain errors, there seems to be very little QC going on by the people doing the ripping.

It's too bad we can't get better than CD quality direct from digital source files for many new albums, export them at the frequency recorded at (44.1, 48, 96khz etc, 12bit and up) and use the apple lossless codec, would make digital downloads better than buying the CD instead of worse and would also cut out the ripping problems that get introduced during high speed ripping.
Shane,

I wish it was 75%, both 2007 Malibu, and Aveo that I drove as rentals (Enterprise) (I still have the Malibu) don't have AUX inputs.. and it really pisses me off because I have an iPod Deck in my car and rarely use CDs, had to burn a few so I wouldn't go nuts while waiting for my car to be fixed (any day now!)

The 07 Malibu does have a slot in the dash to stash your ipod, but this one didn't have the cable option added. Maybe next time (if there is a next time) I will specifically ask for a car with an Aux input or iPod jack.
Finally, I had to return 3 shuffles because of that problem.. maybe this will fix the next one that inevitably takes a dive.
It will also erase your settings on the iPod and put everything back to default everytime the movie stops.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
