Cougar makes sense if they get rid of universal apps. OSX is a mature operating system (not in a bad way, just that it has been around for a while and is "experienced") and it would suddenly be interested in only young machines.
If it works, this is great. I tried to get Portable Firefox to open a webpage I had saved on a USB drive once for memory sticks we were giving away at a tradeshow booth. This tool would have made it much easier.
If money is not an issue, you might consider LED bulbs over CFL. They have come a long way in the last few years. Now there are a lot of options to replace your current bulbs without looking "weird" or having overly blue light. The cost is still up there, but that is changing too.
Jethran,

You might check out clonezilla. While Their website doesn't go into it, a quick google search finds several people who get versions to work on the mac. Might be worth a look at least.
If you gave me those words, I would tell you that "Simon Loves Technology!" is a better choice, both in security and in terms of remembering. Long live passphrases!
It is vaguely reminiscent of a smart roadster, except hit with the ugly stick several times. Sad.
While I wouldn't be terribly excited about having this take up space in my small bathroom, the idea is really great. My washing machine is on the other side of the wall from my toilet currently; if someone offered a product like this, punching a hole between the rooms would be easy enough for the benefits we would receive.

At this time, the iPhone Developer Program is available to only a limited number of developers but we plan to expand during the beta period.

The "but" could also have been replaced with a "though"

Not that I really like being the grammar-nazi, but this seems like a pretty major error for a corporate mailing.
It has a big apple on the lid. How hard would it be for them to go to the Apple website and see if this was legit? Even if you aren't up on the latest tech, you should still be able to find it on the intertubes.
With FON, you pay for your connection at home, but then you share it out. In return, you can use the FON APs other people have set up. This makes a lot more sense to me than pay-to-use hotspots like those found at Starbucks. It's not free, but you were going to need something at home anyway, so you are giving up very little to gain access across the globe. It also works easily with Skype phones.

"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
