Haha!
That would be neat if your house was near the outfield of a baseball diamond. Vaporize the baseballs before they smash your windows.
When I saw "Nintendo calms crowd", I thought that they finally decided to get their heads out of their a**es and change the name back to Revolution. Nope, they didn't calm the crowd.
Yeah, what about vinyl and cassette tapes? They make stereos with built in record and cassette players. And 8-track?

I've got a few 4 minute "Edison Amberol Record"s from the (very) early 1900s.

And about what Joe Smith said:
What about HVDs (Holographic Versatile Disc)?
Hold 10 million songs on a disc, then that 500 disc changer would hold every song ever written.
(just kidding on the capacity)
Yeah, add HDMI upconversion and a DVD recorder that supports all formats, then it's perfect. (And a low price)
I was tricked when I bought a counterfit GBA game on eBay. It said it was the U.S. version, but the back of the box started (it was Mario vs. DK) with "Mario Mario mustache number one world" and the casing was darker and slightly bigger and it said "Nintondo" on the back. And it no longer holds saved games. But now it's to late to file a fraud complaint on eBay.
I wanted it to be sub $200. Since they did cut back on a lot of features.
I forgot to say that the projector i mentioned in my last post is rated at 35 trillion colors. Yes, trillion with a t. And just the lamp takes up to 7kw of juice and (they say) rivals the brightness of the sun (brightness of sun observed on earth). And that replacement bulbs cost about $3,000.
Here's an industrial projector for ya:

I'm guessing this might be more powerful than the ones they use in IMAX theaters.

lol
Just what i was thinking.

And to all those people thinking "Why is Engadget wasting their time on this?", It's gadget/tech related, including the ads and cheap-o crap from Japan and China. (Not that that's all they make, of course.)
Uhhh, duh... Of course they're fake. No laptop has booster rockets.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
