Is it weird that the first thing I thought about after seeing that picture is Pee Wee Herman?
I have been running Vista since it came out as Beta 2 and have had no problems on my laptop. What's the worst that could happen? Well, I installed it on my most used machine, my desktop, and found that it could not sync with my PDA any longer (which is important to me) and bringing it back to Windows XP was hard as Vista installed remnants of the MBR on different hard drives on my computer. So, simply doing a drive wipe was not enough, and after installing XP (and removing Vista), it kept trying to load Vista. Bad. Took about four hours of troubleshooting before I got it back.
Homesick - MercyMe.
What many of you guys are missing is that this one isn't trying to compete with the $100 remotes. It looks to be competing against the Crestron/AMX crowd with the one button push to do multiple tasks. A complete Crestron/AMX solution with a programmer who does the macro scripting can cost businesses (as well as wealthy home theater owners and the like) easily over $20,000 for a solution. In that regard, it's a great deal.
I need the Orange SPV e200. As an obese short geek trying to make it in today's world, I already get made fun of so much already. I also carry a cell phone and a big PDA. The ridicule never seems to stop. To add, I clumsily drop my cell phone all the time (so it's pretty beat up) but never seem to drop my PDA. If I could only have a combination of these items, I think I would be less clumsy. Please Engadget, help me smile once more.
Thanks.
A Creative Labs T-Shirt
I hope I get it. Yay!
I like me some Treo, uhm-hum.
That's pretty interesting--there's a memory stick duo slot. Also, the background for the display looks like Apple's screensaver. It would be very nice if Apple introduced an iPod savvy unit like this.
Wow...that's a Memory Stick Duo slot on the front. Anyone also notice how the background of the display looks like the Apple screensaver?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
