If you have trouble getting up in the morning, a smartphone has nothing on a Chumby.

On the other hand, if you're the kind of person whose smartphone alarm can go off at a pleasant level and you roll out of bed instantly all chipper and ready to go then you don't need a Chumby - and I hate you so much.
For what it's worth, if you've seen the comparison screens and videos from the Japanese versions the Xbox 360 version would be well worth the extra $5. And yes, if it were the other way around I'd buy the PS3 version instead.

Perhaps this is all a grand experiment in fanboy detection.
Never, ever install this sort of thing on the first day. Unless it's on a scratch system, always give the eager bleeding edge people a week to find the inevitable console/pc/hard drive bricking bugs first. And yes, I was seriously tempted.

Well that's just hilarious. Microsoft Marketing does it again. And again. Seriously, Redmond, fire all your clowns and hire me, I'll do a better job. And my dog. My dog would do a better job too, and works for treats.
Nooooo, nothing phallic about those AT ALL. I wonder if they've compared tips with the Pope.
They did the same thing with the numerous drive failures on the PSX and PS2 - just flat out refused to admit it. But Sony loves to screw us, and we love it when they do (it shows he cares!1).

Of course those really were hardware failures, and the timing on this with the firmware is extremely indicative. Worst case would be that something in the new firmware is actually damaging the drives, but that seems unlikely.
David, avoid a battle of wits when you're only armed with a peashooter that fires limp memes.

Heck, I'm still regretting buying the original PSP. This looks like a neat little device, but there aren't enough great games to justify that price tag, especially without homebrew emulation.
Yes! Yes! Y... wha? Nooooooooooooo!

Sadly, this is still better than the first X360/PS3 game.
SEGA, I applaud you for finally getting a clue. Now please don't f#$# this up with stupid Sonic Friends or brawling bogging this thing down. It's all about speed speed speed. And why should I have to tell you this? It's sad I have to tell you this.

Godspeed.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
