No, it's not docked. This designed is heavily based on the iMac facade, which has a black overlay atop the metallic enclosure.

Totally with you on the fact that most people that would buy one would have some type of plastic card. Looks like the Visa Buxx and the like will benefit from this mess.
My only wonder is how will this affect negotiations with other merchants, which will be crucial to reach the 10 million mark in '08.

Oct 29th 2007 1:34AM No kidding! This is gonna backfire in their faces since I don't see any future iPhone retailers (Best Buy, Cicuit City or Amazon) enforcing this.
This will further complicate the iPhone's widespread availability and hinder the company's projected 2008 sales. Way to go Apple!

Jul 26th 2007 1:49AM FYI AllofMp3 was the only major source for lossless audio. Its success proved that offering consumers higher bitrates and codecs can be the way to sell music online.
I believe the quality is greater than what you can find in scratch-prone rips you can bittorrent today.

Anyways, TomTom and Garmin should seriously think about doing built-ins, possible as a dealer-installed extra.
