I'd also expect to see more HUD (heads up display) transparencies and rid us of so much dead space that covers everyone's wallpaper.

As for the theme, I'd prefer it to mimic Aperture than iTunes.

Better yet, why not make the address bar serve both purposes? Let Safari parse if the query is not a complete URL and in that case redirect to Google's search results.

I'm surprised Apple wouldn't have just implemented this and simplify it with dual icons.

This is clearly the rumored PDA-like tablet. The simple reason is the proportions of the home button and the device.

No, it's not docked. This designed is heavily based on the iMac facade, which has a black overlay atop the metallic enclosure.

Totally with you on the fact that most people that would buy one would have some type of plastic card. Looks like the Visa Buxx and the like will benefit from this mess.

My only wonder is how will this affect negotiations with other merchants, which will be crucial to reach the 10 million mark in '08.

No kidding! This is gonna backfire in their faces since I don't see any future iPhone retailers (Best Buy, Cicuit City or Amazon) enforcing this.

This will further complicate the iPhone's widespread availability and hinder the company's projected 2008 sales. Way to go Apple!

FYI AllofMp3 was the only major source for lossless audio. Its success proved that offering consumers higher bitrates and codecs can be the way to sell music online.

I believe the quality is greater than what you can find in scratch-prone rips you can bittorrent today.

FYI: Jocelyn is male/female name in France and Canada.

Anyways, TomTom and Garmin should seriously think about doing built-ins, possible as a dealer-installed extra.

IMO, I don't think it's practical and safe to have one of these babies hanging form your windshield.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
