I love my '04 TSX. I was planning to trade it in for a '10 TSX with the diesel engine. If I wanted a V6 I would have bought the TL.
An Audi version of the Passat, with a 6-speed and a diesel engine? Sold! Too bad the pictures are all hatchbacks. No trunk = no sale. Some of us actually need a car that can carry four people PLUS LUGGAGE from time to time.
If we get a carbon tax or the price of gas goes to $4/gallon, then Fiat's fuel-efficient model lineup would be a good fit for the US. In that case, it would make a lot of sense for Fiat (or Fiat/Opel) to take over Chrysler in order to get a jump start on building a US organization.

The market for new cars hasn't bottomed out yet. Fiat would have to be prepared for some lean years before their re-entry to the US would bear fruit.
The original 4DSC was a compact sedan that handled well, and had a nice V6 engine. The current Maxima is a luxoboat that goes fast in a straight line. Putting the 4DSC badge on it doesn't make it a sports sedan.
Autocar is a British magazine, right? Yawn. Wake me up when BMW decides to actually import a Mini D.
50-60 miles a day is not practical? You need to move closer to your job!
German engineering wins again. Can we get VW to just buy GM?
Using food for fuel is sick. I am OK with an alcohol-based fuel system for transportation, including building car engines to run exclusively on alcohol. But make it from something other than corn. Why are we not using the corn STALKS for this?
One thing I guarantee Obama WON'T do is pay someone $745 million for two (2) space suits.
Just quoting Tim here:
"Cut, copy and paste text. A microSD slot. Keyboard in landscape mode option for all text entry apps. Fix memory leak in Safari that crashes it if you haven't done and on/off cycle on the phone for a while. Color-coded calendars in Calendar app. A way to export and import Notes with Notes app. Category support in Notes App. To Do list that syncs with iCal To Do pane. Empty Email mailbox. Delete multiple emails at once. Some games...hell I'll pay well for some good games like Tetris and Bejewelled that would work great with the touch interface. A way to shut off the accelerometer in the iPod app so that when I'm walking with it and suddenly want to switch to the next track, I don't have to hold it upright and wait for the delay in switching back to portrait mode to do this function. 3G and GPS, but that is just a matter of a future hardware version.

Otherwise, you can't beat this thing. the build quality, materials, interface, lots of stuff. EDGE isn't all that bad either becasue of the software greatness. Compared to my TyTN, the web experience rocks, even without UMTS/HSDPA."

We do not want a physical keyboard!!
A MicroSD slot with all that implies (a true file system, not a "let me hold your hand" hidden storage system.)
I want to be able to install and run the same Safari plug-ins on the iPhone as I can on a Mac. For example, Flash and Java.
It's not a "full version of OS-X" unless I can buy application software from an on-line retailer and download them to my hand-held computer.
Non-crippled bluetooth.
VOIP (duh). What is the point of putting wi-fi on a phone if we can't use it for our own purposes.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
