This just in from the Department of Redundancy Department.
wtf is up with clicking on Perian and being taken back to TUAW? Are you guys retarded?
Agreed — half the page is banner ads when you first load the site (without adblock installed).
Ok, so instead of one physical keyboard, let's put 2!!! Oh wait, now where do we put the screen? Oh, let's shrink that to make more room for buttons!!!
Was it just me, or did I assume the Steve in the title was Steve Jobs? Why do I care that some guy named Steve loves "blasting his tweets out to the world" using Twitteriffic? TUAW, you are about to be deleted from my bookmarks...
LOL — that cracks me up. TUAW is like the one site that consistently kills Safari. Just another reason to skim the headlines off NNW!!
What is the matter with you guys writing for this site? What kind of title is that? Yes, I'm sure Apple has secretly been plotting all along: "I know, we'll make this thing called iPhone. Then we'll let developers write apps for it. BUT! We'll set them up for failure so that when they launch their apps, they'll all crash! Muah hah ha ha!"

Seriously, get a grip. It's cutting edge tech. There are hiccups. Deal.
Guns don't kill people. They kill iPhones.
So even if this did work, you could make a widget to call the terminal command for free :/ Considering apps that actually do something, like Transmit or VisualHub cost about $20, this is a total ripoff!!
Well, expect the BBC's reporting to be full of hyperbole and completely overblown, in an attempt to make a story about insurance exciting. They never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
