Finally! Toronto gets has how many by now?!

There were rumours that the store was going at Granville and Dunsmuir, possibly part of the refurbished Pacific Centre. Also, I believe it's supposed to be a flagship of the Canadian stores, so hopefully we'll get something similar to the big one out in SF. Can't wait for some official news!
Awesome episode! I don't think Jack is in on Juliet's plan, but the two have been talking about the possibility of a pregnant Kate. And, man, like Michael B. mentioned, did that choke scene remind me of Jabba's death in ROTJ!
I remember thinking back during the third or fourth seasons, that they should switch from warm climates to cold ones. Although, as pointed out, it would cause larger safety risks (don't want anyone freezing, and can't really hide from a polar bear), nor would there be any flesh shown. Mind you, at this point in Survivor's life, it's now or never. I stopped watching after All-Stars, and the whole "Exile Island" is okay but not cool enough. They should either go to somewhere in the Arctic, whether that's in Canada, Greenland, or Alaska. Or, to transition, they could always do something in northern Ontario, in the forests with rain and bears. That would be kinda cool.

Also, in response to Bash, they could eliminate the "boring" factor of having a show in Canada by not naming it Survivor: Canada. It could be like... Survivor: Arctic Shield, or Survivor: Tundra Outback ;)
I'm surprised at how well done the CGI is. It's obviously not Pixar quality, but it's way better than most TV-type graphics. I wonder if it was done by Henson, which dipped into CG here and there.

It's hard to say which to keep. The transition from Muppet to CG felt a bit weird, but you could tell the animators enjoyed the freedom the digital character allowed them. The movements were very fluid and the shots were varied.

Let's say I liked them both! :)
Frankly, it seems like much of your problem with the episode stems from the over-blown previews (which I never saw), and the fact that it didn't address any island mystery.

IMO, it was the greatest episode since the show's return. I didn't care for Juliet's, Desmond's was merely interesting, and Jack's was almost flat out boring. I got so sick of the pouty Jack, defiant Kate, and closeted Sawyer (you know what I mean) week after week.

This was classic Lost at it's best. Not only was it a Hurley episode (which are always great and fun, even though this is slightly less so than previous ones), it also addressed so many different things back on this island: Charlie's death, those two new Losties, Jin and Sun's relationship, Sawyer and Kate's relationship, etc. Sawyer even finally had some good new jokes. You could also really see how they are tying deeper "people themeing" into the show rather than endless mystery, with the example here being hope. The episode seemed to be a turning point in the show concerning the lack of hope. That whole theme played very well and I thought it was quite touching. I also enjoyed how they didn't end the episode with the pan from group to group this time, but wrapped it up with the predictable Danielle meetup.

I'd just like to mention that I'm not against mystery. I believe the season premieres and finales of the first two seasons were definitely the best of the whole show, but something has been lacking this year round. Sure, they mention new things in this whole Other's point of view season, but it's just soooo strung out that people don't really care anymore. And they also throw way too many new things in there. Maybe that says a little why I found the past three episodes lacking, while this one most satisfying.
Frankly, I don't see why Apple would stretch itself too thin while Steve is still at the helm. I believe, over time, it's just natural evolution that the iPod will be simply integrated in the iPhone, and will dissolve as a product line. That is to say, the iPhone lineup will expand and gain enough market share that people would rather buy an iPhone (with iPod capabilities), then a phone and an iPod. But that's some time to because prices need to drop dramatically.

Secondly: it's all about multi-touch baby. This is something the whole Mac lot is missing. Did you see the tablet patents with iTunes and iPhoto apps? Not just the iPod version, but full blown apps. Have you seen the reports about the ultra-portable MacBook, or the slim tablet device. What do you bet they're the same product. One rumour I read said the iPhone is simply a test, for the market and for the embedded technologies, to make way for a much more revolutionary product next year.

Apple may have dropped the computer from it's name, but that doesn't mean they abandoned the Mac. Multi-touch is coming, and it's going to be the real revolution. Think DS:Wii.

That was freakin' amazing! Even better than the internal Microsoft vids.

This really reminded me of the old John Belushi rants from the early days of SNL. And I'm a teenager, so don't bring out the "old fogey" comments.
Yay! Gorham returns! I really loved his character and was hoping he'd come back. Betty and Henry had such good chemistry! Now I can't wait to see tonight's episode! XD
As everyone else has said, this was definitely the best SNL of the year; I'd even go so far as to say the best since Justin Timberlake hosted a few years back. I actually laughed at many of the sketches. And although it was dragged out and seemed to fly over the audience's heads, Seth's bit on Update with Rumsfeld was... witty and dry, just the way I like it ;)

Having dropped Studio 60 several weeks back, and only watching random episodes of Conan and The Office, I for one hadn't seen any promos about the guest appearances. I read late Saturday night on AICN that Steve was to show up, but that was it. It was too bad they didn't let Paul say anything; his part seemed very improv. And Tony also seemed generally lost but amused. During the Baldwin VS Martin sketch, whenever they mentioned "Oo there's Paul Simon" or "John Goodman", I was hoping they'd be right around the corner too. That would've been a show stopper if they brought all those guys back as well!

The show is really hitting something right now. The writers and cast seem to be breaking into their 'new' format. We'll see if it keeps improving from here on out, or not. But, to summarize, this was one of those episodes that just makes you glad you're invested in SNL every week. I wish TVS was still doing their reviews though :(
It'll be interesting if the whole Shrek franchise will have gotten so overdone and stale by the time this is released that the public will be fed up with the ogre. As everyone knows, things do get old after a while.

One interesting thing I did notice however is that this is Disney running a Katzenberg produced special. Just a bit weird I thought. Or maybe it's not such a big deal now that Iger's the big cheese at the mouse house.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
