That's a good point. Something like Slingbox really relies upon word-of-mouth marketing. Many people know what a iPhone is, so why wouldn't Sling want as many of their products as possible to be associated with it?
I won a Slingbox Pro a year ago, so I got lucky. But when I first heard this announcement, I thought it was due to technical limitations of the older hardware. If it is just a cash grab, that is shameful.
I agree with him on Facebook Connect. That would be nice.
This makes so much sense. Well done! But does this mean that news on such items/events stays out of the "regular stream"?
They originally wanted to call it P.O.S. Thankfully they turned that name down! :-)

Seriously though, that seems pretty nice and thorough.
Despite the unimpressive specs, these peripherals give me wood! :-D

Seriously, though, I do like the look!
There's no expansion? I'm shocked! I didn't realize that about the Pre!
I enjoyed having XM, but I just canceled my subscription, as I got this Internet clock radio for Christmas.

I like NHL coverage, and I easily added the URLs for all the NHL radio stations without a problem. As well, the weather feature is great, and many Internet radio stations lack commercials.
Oh, and the plural of crash is crashes! Perhaps maybe you hurt your head in "crashs", and the resulting brain damage affected your grammar and spelling!
You should "insure" you take some English courses! I think you mean ensure!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
