Poll: Did you pre-order a MacBook Air? {Engadget}

Jan 15th 2008 5:27PM Ohh where do I begin....
Well lets look at this, for $1800 we get a laptop, but oh look it's special is a "mac book" so I get to have a bunch of fan boys follow me around? Well, let's see what else there is, oh looks like the CD drive is missing, guess I can either fork out some extra $$$ (after spending $1800) for an external drive or transfer my music with telepathy or take the long way and drag it from a portable HDD to the MacBook instead of copying CDs in 3 minutes. Okay, next on the list 1.6 GHz Dual processor. Well it's okay but nothing I would expect for half the price of my car. What is going on? I just payed 1.8 grand on a friggen small sh!t machine the least they could do is make the base model 1.8 GHz Dual. RAM, fine 2 GB nothing wrong there. Hard drive....okay someone tell me this, I bought an $1800 laptop ("Macbook"), first though, what kind of drive do you think would be in there? Well let's see I took out a second mortgage and wait, PATA? No no no, something must be wrong here, PATA? Unless that P is an S in some crazy language Apple has to be crazy. And what more is it is 4200 RPM, so I just payed $1800 to go back in time with the hard drives. The other option is a SSD but seriously I don't care if it's flash memory, it's still more expensive than it is worth. Well I guess that's about it so if you a retarded rich person or a crazed Apple collector fanatic this Macbook is for you! But if you a regular computer user and have 2 brain cells you should be able to realize that this is an overpriced piece of Apple dung.

Oct 11th 2007 8:00PM Ya, I highly doubt they will ban something that everyone uses including all companies and the government themselves. They can just say F*** you and your rights and be done with it.
