I snagged a mini 9 from the outlet store with a 32GB ssd, 1GB ram, webcam, and bluetooth for $360... Kinda hard to pass it up :)
I was thinking the same thing, and some google-ing confirmed that this thing does have an ambient light sensor which will dim the backlight. I would hate for something like that to hold this cool little product back.
I can't order one either... it just takes me to the "notify me when I can order one" page. Sad.
Did you try updating? That really helped with my battery problem... until mine was stolen :( Maybe one of these to replace it :)
Macbook and a Treo 700p, and I'd love to be able to watch tv on both of those when (if) the clients come out!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
