Hmm...Gotta be Monopoly.
On Resolution Independent UI, it just works - you don't need to adjust it to get it to work (I'm on the Leopard Beta). The icons, for instance, run at 512 px squared so you can read the text on the TextEdit pad.

As for hot spots, I hate to say this but I can't find it anywhere. It may have been axed :(
Sorry, this is old news

If you want to live Star Trek, don't use VR - Actually be there, and not as a Video Game.
Rather than cClick-Return, why not type the first few chars of the file and then return. Much faster than finding the mouse, centering it on the file, clicking...
It's doubtful that he would be taking a prerelease product out into the wild, but I wouldn't put it past him to have it on the airwaves before FCC approval - He drives around without license plates, why should he care about FCC regulations?
I think I'll stick to Revolution (http://www.runrev.com) for all my Rapid-Development software needs. REALBasic and Visual Basic don't quite cut it when all you're interested in is creating something, not debugging and compiler-fighting.
It's hilarious when I go to work with my Macbook. My work setting is pretty informal and when we have meetings, we usually need to swap files or demo our software for each other. We moved offices and when a PC user couldn't get on the network to send me something, I quickly fired up a computer-to-computer network and turned on windows sharing. My boss insisted that I restart my computer "just to be safe." After transferring the file a few seconds later, all I could do was etch the look on his face into my brain so I could laugh over it later. That look of confusion/I-wish-my-pc-did-that/next-time-we'll-leave-the-notebooks-at-home that you see whenever your mac just does something with zero hand-holding.
Is it just me, or are we seeing a lot of free Mac apps recently? I know MacHeist and Mac App a Day are not connected to FreeVerse, but still, lots o' free stuff coming lately.
Sure this is Marketing, and yes, some of these apps are like extended trials, but even if all the apps were demos, the idea is to play the game for FUN. The apps you get are more perks than anything. I echo what every other person has said: You don't have any obligation to buy anything! If you hate the apps or they stop working after an update, you don't have to keep them! It's just a fun way for some not-so-popular developers to get their products out in the air and for the mac community to have some fun. If you like the products then you can buy the update if your **free** prizes break. If you don't like them, you can utilize this cool feature of Finder called the "Trash Can" and get rid of them for good. Better yet, if the app IS the real deal and you DON'T need to buy it on an update, then you'll walk away with a free application!

Complaining about free products, even if they have the possibility of being short lived, is lame. There are no strings attached to this, literally. You get the apps, the developers get their marketing, and those of us who think the software bundle at the end is worth it will buy it. No matter what, everybody playing walks away, hard drive (or trash can) stuffed with high quality free stuff.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
