Honestly, if I get these, I'll probably sell them. I'm not much of an audiophile, and I'm not real big on the whole "having lots of room to store stuff" thing...
I dunno, my perception of the movie wasn't really altered by this scene. It's gross, but not SO gross that it really stuck in my memory, if you know what I mean.

Personally, The Ring scared the living crap out of me, and continues to do so to this day, much more than the boring, lackluster Japanese version that everyone seems so enamored with.
Why are they trying to make a distinction between MID and UMPC? It seems odd to me that as technologies shrink and a full computer can be made smaller and smaller, they choose to create these arbitrary specifications. UMPC was bad enough, in my opinion, but MID just stinks of trying to confuse people to bilk them out of more money. It's just a tiny computer with cellular networking people, get over yourselves.
I don't really get how this will work. would you have to run one HDMI cable for video, and another for audio, or would it like hook up with the graphics card through an internal cable? Or wait, is it possible to just send the video and audio through the sound card's HDMI? That doesn't sound quite right to me.
Well, VIA certainly seems to have found their niche, whether or not what they offer is powerful enough for the average consumer. It would be really cool to see these chips going into media-centric thin clients and things like that, though, I think we can all agree. Having a media streamer capable of full 1080P playback without a fan? No way anyone's telling me that's not awesome.
Yeah, frankly I think Asus would have done better to confine the EEE to one or two models. Already we have the 2G, 4G and 8G, 2G and 4G Surf, and now they're adding 8, 9 and 10 inchers with various other features, not to mention the Everex machines, no doubt in various sizes and configurations themselves. I love these pcs, and especially the idea behind them, but I can see how people would be very confused about what to get. Personally, I think I'll wait for next Christmas.

Also, touchscreens kick ass.
Well actually, I was merely referring to the design and features of the laptop, not its build quality, on which nobody, not even you, can comment with any accuracy. But in fact, my first laptop was a Dell 486 from back in the day. I've owned it formy entire computer-using career, and it STILL works. So, I mean, sorry for "spouting off" with my opinion without consulting you, My Lord.
One thing that I'd like to see that isn't quite as obvious is a third button beneath the Trackstick, like the Thinkpads have, for scrolling. Perhaps it's due to some inane patent dispute, but it seems like a strange omission, considering how cheap and easy it would be. Also, come on Apple fanboys, what the hell? Is it impossible for anyone other than Apple to get ANY recognition for freaking anything ever? It's a solid machine, if a little overpriced. Leave it at that.
I'm most thankful for my current computer. So reliable and steady... For the past four years... For two of which it's been totally unable to play games...
PS3, 誕生日お目出度う!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
