Did you think of maybe waiting to try the device before deciding it doesn't work?..
(Do you seriously think Nintendo would release a device as bad as you describe? Plus, it's pretty much the same idea as the PlayStation Eye's microphone, which reportedly works great)
God, I am so tired of all the bitching everyone does about Nintendo "abandoning" them...

So, Nintendo had a pretty slow presentation. While that may be true, which groundbreaking news did Sony or Microsoft bring?.. Truth is, E3 just isn't what it used to be, period. And the best thing Nintendo can use it for is to attract people that don't follow gaming news. And don't tell me that casuals aren't even aware about E3 - even if they don't, the media outlets they follow are.

Now, to the hardcore vs. casual BS. First of all, it's dumb to eulogize Nintendo for having one bad show. And don't give me the condescending "it wasn't bad, it was just aimed elsewhere" nonsense Penny Arcade believe in. Animal Crossing, Wii MotionPlus, WiiSpeak, Wii Music, and Wario World. That's pretty much all they had in store. Animal Crossing may not be what you'd define as "hardcore" but it's definitely not casual either; MotionPlus has as much potential to change "serious" games as it does casual ones, and Wii Sports Resort is really more a tech demo than a "casual game"; voice chat is something all you a-holes have been bitching about for ages; and Wario World is definitely a "core gamer" game - one that hasn't been given nearly enough attention, IMO. So the one truely casual "feature" we have left is Wii Music. And that's a game we already new was coming.

Miyamoto confirmed that the Zelda, Mario, and Pikmin teams are at work. Kid Icarus, while not mentioned in this conference, is also almost certanily being developed. And may I remind you that Fatal Frame IV is published by Nintendo. What more do you want?

What Nintendo obviously believes in is that the marketing money is better spent at people who won't anyway read game reviews and follow previews. What you're obviously immature enough to want is for Nintendo to waste their time and resources on making trailers and "concept art" so you won't feel left out.
Well, he's already working on Fatal Fram IV, which is not only a wii game but a collaboration with nintendo.

Also, about the 360 thing - 360 fans are way too unoriginal (not really the right term, but y'know....)... while the game is bloody, it's not an FPS, it doesn't have online multiplayer, and is way too "japanese" for the Halo crowd (which wouldn't even appreciate the cell-shaded style).
Wait, so it isn't the last SSB, right?..

(please?...)
They could, but why would they?

Everyone, with the exception of some sony and m$ fanboys, loves Mario games. Super Mario Galaxy is a great game on its own right, as well as a worthy successor to a series of games that (except for the godawful Super Mario Sunshine) innovate the platforming genre every generation. They don't have the most "mature" plot or backstory, but who cares? In that genre, the gameplay is where it's at. As a side note, a lot of you people confuse "mature" and "violent". I honestly don't see why games like GTA, as apposed to say Killer 7, are more mature than this. More blood? Sure. More hookers? you betcha. But is it really more mature?

Also, people keep saying nintendo doesn't have new IP's. Let's look at the Gamecube. We have Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Eternal Darkness, Battalion Wars, Geist, and Baten Kaitos, and Metroid Prime which is such a reinvention of the game it can almost be counted as a new IP. The Wii has only been out for a year, and already we have the Wii series, Disaster: DoC. Nintendo keeps their franchises fresh and innovative; in my humble opinion, in that aspect Nintendo's games have more variety than the floods of FPS's that fill the PS3 and 360's catalogs, each one more derivative than the other.
I don't get it, what'd I missed?
Last I heard, there were rumors about Gerstmann being fired because of his Kane & Lynch review;
Then Gamespot pulls the video review because of "microphone issues" (does anyone really buy that?) and edit the written review;
And they admit to being pressured by Eidos, but say that none of the above has anything to do with that (in a comment that came way too late).

What change the bottom line to gamespot's favor?
Also, i reaallly do want to use glovePIE (that's why I was being bitter), I don't have an ideology against using program's made by antisemites, but the program blocks users from Israel (not sure how, but when I try to load it a error screen pops and it sends me to something like boycottisrael. com)
I admit, it was a bit of a pointless rant, but i was actually referring to using the wiimote (with or without the gh controller) on the computer
Unfortunately, I can't do anything cause the creator of glovePIE is both pretentious and anti-Israeli (more like antisemitic, imho, but I'd rather not get into that)
you didn't get that point...
more people want ps3's because of the 40gb version.
meanwhile, less people who want a wii can get it because of supply issues.
that is why we are seeing the ps3 overtake the wii, while it could've been the other way around despite the influx of ps3 buyers had the wii's supply matched the demand.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
