Blam, engadget.

I'm going to watch the movie this weekend, but I did watch the behind-the-scenes on XBL before the game came out.

The scene they showed involved a warrior running through the onslaught...slaughtering. It was impressive.
I'm failing to see why this war is even important to begin with. The HD/BD difference isn't really justifying the prices of either.

I watched a couple of BD's on my 1080p TV with my PS3, and I just decided that DVDs are fine. Sure, high def is a better picture...but not so much that I HAVE to have it. Great...I can see some facial hair that I didn't notice before. Gross.

I would bet that the average consumer would feel the same way.

Games in HD is a different story though...

It's also quite amusing that anyone who has raised a valid point about HD-DVD gets attacked. Both sides use silly arguments to "prove" their preference is better. *shakes head*
"Waits for the xbots to rip this up...
or are they too busy with their RROD?"

Well, yeah, just like the PS2's have been dead from 12 versions of DRE. Why pretend that Sony hasn't had their own muck of hardware?

Anyway, it's about time. I still need rumble support (I refuse to play Shadow of the Colossus without it), so the PS3 is still worthless as a BC unit to me. Essentially...the PS3 is just a movie machine at this point...giving the Samsung upscaling DVD player to the parents because of this news. Since their Bravia doesn't handle SD signals very well.

Want to upscale your DVD's? Sit further back from the television. Same effect. After 20 ft or so, there's no discernable difference in Blu-ray anyway, even on a big screen.
I've been quite happy with my Mitsu so far. I'd buy again...but it won't be for a while.
Weird...I deal with Blackberrys a lot at work. A friend of mine tried selling me one for $40. I declined; I don't see why you'd want to rely on RIM services when they aren't necessary.

Windows mobile is great, but it doesn't make much for a functional cell phone. Hopefully WM6 will be better.
I recently bought a new television and have not been impressed with 1080p at all. We've tried it on the PS3 and on the 360 (VGA), and it's really nothing to get excited about. 1080i is just fine.

I think the problem is that no matter how much people argue, the final resolution of one complete frame is still 1080 whether progressive or interlaced. There is a difference, but the minute difference hardly lives up to the hype.

Thanks Engadget; maybe I won't upgrade after all.
My spelling is fine. I accidentally used "past" instead of "passed". I was aware of the mistake and would have gladly edited the comment if possible.

Instead of poorly trying to insult someone, you could simply disagree.
Good riddance.

Ken's time has past. While his efforts to make a versatile product (PS3) were respectable...the costs and implementation were equally horrible.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
