"Is it magic? Is it sorcery? Is it complete bull? You might be surprised."

Yet, I wasn't.

Can Audiosurf play Zune Pass songs?

Absolutely! Nearly ALL my tunes are Zunepass tunes - no problems. Also, if you quit Audiosurf, your tune keeps playing! That's a nice touch.
I don't know who Tim Stevens is, but he needs serious work if he's going to be a regular Engadget Blogger.

Everything below here addresses the problems with the specs being wrong, so I'll skip that and mention the biggest problem.

Nowhere in his post does this mention that it's only on T-Mobile UK, *not* T-Mobile USA. On top of that, he continues this trickery by acting like it's now a contest between the HD2 and the Droid, which is a USA only release on a USA only carrier.

So, the two do not connect, and those in the UK have no tough decision between the two phones, since only the HD2 is available there.

Good Lawd Engadget, someone please clean up this post with another update.

(So, I scroll up, and the update 2 is already there. Well, I'm gonna post it anyways!)
Adding on to that - everyone seems to say that the Touch Pro 2 has the BEST mobile keyboard out there. I noticed that the Droid doesn't have offset keys. Horrible mistake in my opinion. What do you think of the keyboard?

A month or two ago, BGR had a showcase of the device, but promised it wasn't the finished model. It looks to be EXACTLY like what they revealed. I was expecting a better positioned D-Pad and offset keys. What in the world changed between then and now?
I can't freaking stand this guy... people actually think he has musical talent? He requires digital correction to make him sing in tune.

His biggest mistake was going on Saturday Night Live and actually SINGING LIVE. He should have lip-synced. I've never heard an ENTIRE audience laughing uncontrollably while he was trying to seriously perform. It was horrific.

He got caught by the United States Border Patrol with weed, and has a court date in California in March. Loser.
One of the more important questions I see nobody asking is - do these devices have 3.5mm headphone jacks?

The Pure is confirmed to be a NO. If AT&T doesn't put the 3.5mm on the TP2, this device fails instantly in my book.
Eh, bluetooth is never the answer for streaming to a true high fidelity system. It's not all that terribly great for headphones either, but at least it is a convenience. Stereo Bluetooth hasn't reached a high enough bitrate to equal a wired setup.

I don't have an answer for this gentleman's original question, if I understand it correctly. He doesn't want a dock, so the awesome Zune HD is out of the question for him. What he wants is a niche on the market - I'm not sure why he wants that specific device so badly... but so be it. I don't think anything yet recommended fits his wishes.

The only issue I've been having is a fairly consistent corrupted download of audio and video. I can't download more than one thing at a time, or it's almost a guaranteed failure. Interesting that if I download multiple albums through the Zune HD itself, it works flawlessly over WiFi.

When I play a corrupted video, it ends up rebooting the device. Thankfully the load time isn't bad.
FoxKenji,

I've read through ALL your posts on this thread, and clearly you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

Just to address your latest inaccurate comment, Microsoft has stated again and again that you can watch the 720P movies on the Zune HD downscaled to the device's resolution. They've shown a Heroes 720P clip hooked up to HDMI out to a TV, and then shown it play on the device. I don't even want to know where you think you got that information.

Also, a ways back, you said something like, in my own whiny version -

"Ewww, you have to be DOCKED *shock&horror* to be able to view high-def to your TV! That's so limiting. Plus there's no remote control."

First, if Apple ever gave users the same ability, how exactly do you expect it to work? Magical wireless fairies? Second, every AV Dock comes with a remote control.

Do some research.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
