A lot of them do actually. iPods don't have Ogg Vorbis - but then again, Apple have sold 5 billion MP3 and AAC files since they launched. No prizes for guessing the link there...
I'm surprised no-one's pointed out the obvious yet, but oh well...

How do speakers invade your privacy? Did you think no-one was watching before? They aren't installing more cameras - just adding speakers to the old ones. I'm against CCTV but all for these new speakers. Prior to this all the police could do is watch the crime take place - yeah, real helpful. At least now litterers/muggers will be made aware that they are being watched, thus potentially preventing them from breaking the law for fear of being caught. Makes sense to me.

By the way - I find it (darkly) amusing that the Americans go on about our dreadful Orwellian police state (oh noes - it's a speed camera) whilst holding Britons and others without trial in Guantanamo. You all ought to be ashamed.
@Steven:

Sorry but you yanks are just late on the scene this time. We've had free digital tv through our aerials for about 5 years now. We get 40(!) digital TV channels and 30 digital radio stations. Analogue switch-off starts this October in Cumbria and 80% of UK homes have some form of digital TV.

You make a good point and would certainly be a nice idea but I doubt that Apple would ever do it that way. I expect thsi would be a loss leader. If they get hardware decoding in all their machines then they've just created a huge market to sell downloadable HD movies to. People tend to update their computer more often than the display so if they just bung the chip straight in the Macs its a far quicker process.
I can't believe no one has made this joke yet, but oh well...

"This year, my husband and iPod"

Are these the average speed cameras you get on the motorway? I'd always wondered how they got round that problem. Seems they don't :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
