I still can't understand why everyone is sooooo obsessed with HDMI. I have the VGA cable with an optical audio cable and it all looks and sounds perfect. Games, HD-DVDs, everything looks fine.
Well, in case anyone's wondering, it won't work on a 360, at least with Xvid files. Zune sees the file, the Xbox sees the file, but when you go to play the file it says its unsupported.
Does this mean that I can drag and drop divx files to watch on my 360 as well?
I don't think this was supposed to be blatantly racist, but I could easily see racists cheering along to it, thinking "Finally, Fox News understands me!"
I saw this guy once in his full Chicago cop uniform. Honestly the most indimidating cop I've ever seen.
Doesn't anyone realize that while Fox News is sooo against media leaning towards the left, having your own media lean to the right is just as bad? Remember that old saying - two wrongs don't make a right.

Fox News is just as bias as the networks slam for being bias to begin with. Every time O'Reilly bitches about that he's only pounding his own credibility into the ground even further.
Why is it that you can't find any qualifications on Philip Swann other than the fact that he's been a speaker at other places?

I used to get his daily e-mail and he would start to sound more and more ignorant as time went on. When I tried looking up his history to see what made him so "knowledgable," I couldn't find a thing.

Philip Swann is the Tony Roberts of television technology and is no more qualified to make these guesses than my Grandma. Don't listen to a word this idiot spews.
Okay, getting rid non-industry professionals I can understand. Hell, my friend who sold credit card machines for a major bank was able to get in. I work in TV (not news) and I got in. Guess what we did for 8 hours? We played games and waited in line to see demo movies. Basically the gaming industry paid for me to say "Aw, neato! Look at that!" for a day.

But blocking out bloggers and "smaller" press is retarded. The small guys are the ones who don't spin the hell out of the stories, and gamers know that.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
