Reminds me too much of Hexic. "Must make black pearl..."
Sooo you have a multi-touch API.... How in the world are you going to test your app if you can't buy a multi-touch screen to test it out (>_
The only thing holding me back from buying one s that is doesn't have any optical zoom. :(
@ Flashpoint... "PS3 can just sit back since its future proofed" and you say you aren't a Sony Fanboy. Well, you've probably have had a sip of the koolaid. You don't know if the PS3 is "Future Proof", that's just marketing spin that you fell for.

I am not a fanboy... but I wanted to point out fallacies to your points.

Rebuttal on your 4 points.
1)"Streamlined" ?!?!? If it was streamlined they they wouldn't need to churn out some many SKUs (with another on the horzon.\ I wonder what feature they'll take out now, jk).

2)Reference Koolaid statement above.

3)The Halo 3 for the xbox this year will be GoW2 and the Halo 3 for 2k9 will be Bioshock 2... Hmmm that should keep the xbox around for the foreseeable future.

4)Technically, they can just eat the cost like. I think MS's ultimate goal is to just get in the living rooms.
The article doesn't do it justice. When i saw this tucked away in the Philips booth @ CES, i noticed that their implementation with the e-ink screen was way better than that of Sony's e-reader. for those who didn't see both... the e-reader's page refreshes takes a half second to refresh prolly to push the new buffer on the screen, which causes a half second blank screen. this would probably bother those who spend a lot of time with the e-reader. Now Philips on the other hand implemented it differently and there was NO blinking screen upon refreshes. I HAD to talk to the lead engineer about that. It was quite amazing how they did it. there used tft technology under the e-ink screen to refresh the entire screen (patent pending). he said that in their labs they already have full motion vid running 20 fps right now. That s hot! it'll be VERY interesting to see what they roll out in the future.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
